Vicki, After looking at that 1880 census again very closely, the index shows that Sarah Wilson age 68 was in the household of Lafayett and Mintie Byers in dwelling 213. Looking at the actual census Sarah Wilson is in dwelling 212, with her son Doctor Miller Wilson age 31 and his son Columbus age 1. It might just be coincidence that they are living close to each other. What makes me think the Byers/Byars family has connection to the Wilson's is the 1870 census listed below. Micager Byers has to be connected someway?
The 1870 Rutherford Co., NC Census, Cool Springs Township, Moorsboro P.O., Series M593, Roll 1159, page 46a, dwelling 71, family 71, lines 20-25, enumerated 27 July 1870
Robert Wilson, age 62, farming
Sarah Wilson, age 59, keeping house
Doctor M. Wilson, age 22, keeping house
Nancy Wilson, age 20, at home
Wiley B. Wilson, age 15, at school
Micager Byers, male, age 10, at school
Sorry for my mistake in the other posting. I hope someday to get my mess straight! Your help appreciated-Dwight

Hello Vicki, I'm wondering if you might have family relations to Randolph Oliver Byars, Find A Grave memorial #35262371 that you created? He is list on the 1910 Spartanburg Census with Fabe D. Byars, age 63, born NC, Mother born NC, Father born NC. Fabe's wife is listed as Martha L. Byars, age 63, born NC, Mother NC, Father NC. Married 43 years. Randolph O. Byars, age 19, is listed as grandson, born SC, Mother NC, Father SC. Also in the household is John P. Byars, son, age 33, born NC, Mother NC, Father NC.
On the 1900 Spartanburg Census the BYARS family was enumerated as BYERDZ. Lafayette Byerdz, age 52, born NC, spouse, Menttia Byerdz, age 53, born NC, Mary A. Byerdz, daughter, age 31, born NC. John P. Byerdz, son, age 23, born NC. Lessie Byerdz, dau., age 16, born NC. Randolph O. Byerdz, grandson, age 9, born SC. Florence A. Byerdz, granddaughter, age 6, born SC.
I think Menttia in this 1900 census might have been a Wilson. On the 1800 Cool Springs, Rutherford CO., NC Census my fourth great grandmother, Sarah Harrill Wilson, age 68, widowed is listed as mother in household with Mintie Byers, age 33. Lafayett Byers, age 32, William Byers, age 11. Mary Byers, age 10. Geneva Byers, age 8. John Byers, age 4 and Lillie Byers, age 1.
Sarah Harrill Wilson was married to Robert H. Wilson my fourth great grandparents. I hope that you are connected to these folks and might be able to add something to what I have here. Any help appreciated and May God Bless you. Thanks-Dwight Crowe

I'm not sure what I left as a death date for Miller Richwine but I just put the correct one of May 1, 1864, which comes from his death record and not the headstone (so my eyes weren't that good!) Sorry for the correction. Kathy
Are these dates calculated or do you have a Drouin baptism record, or something similar?
