Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.|
~Henry David Thoreau
I was drawn to FAG after loosing a dear friend in a tragic car accident, as well as my only sister suffering a brain injury in a car accident on her way to school--she was a passenger, along with another beloved friend who passed away in the accident. That day changed so many lives forever!
I grew up in a small fishing community in N.C., moved away at the age of 17 and served in the USAF during Desert Storm. I've always enjoyed walking through cemeteries...wondering what each person might have been like in their lifetime. You'll find my "Pappy", beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law and our respective families and beloved friends among the many memorials I've added to FAG; thanks to each of you who take the time remember them!
If you have a question about a memorial I have added, or would like a transfer, please email me. I will do all I can to help. I do my best to honor and lovingly remember those who I memorialize. Always happy to transfer your family and friends. :)
I am always happy and grateful to merge memorials if you do locate an actual burial location of a family member or friend. I am NOT here to post memorials to increase contribution numbers. But to memorialize those who were so loved and are deeply missed.
Thanks for all of you have helped on my quest to remember those who we strive to keep their memory and stories alive!
NOTE: I have many memorials on this site that have no exact location of their graves, (my great grandfather Riley Thomas Lewis is one), but sadly, as many genealogist know, many states, to include North Carolina vital records (births/deaths), were not kept on a statewide basis before October 1913. Therefore, the location of many graves were lost as family members who did know the locations have died. Also, there are many cemeteries with the same names and no accurate documentation of individuals buried there. It actually took me ten years to locate my Dad's cousins who were buried in the "Philyaw Family Cemetery" in Comfort, N.C. because there are 4 such named cemeteries on the same highway.
ALSO: Under new FAG guidelines, it is frowned upon to list the names of 'living family members.' Therefore, if I have done so, it is because they are my family or a close friend of whom their family has approved of the memorial and their living ancestors to be listed. If I have an older memorial and it is your family member that you'd rather living members be deleted, I will be happy to do so, or transfer the memorial to you. Always happy to transfer a memorial, whether it be family or friend. We are all in this together, remembering those we have loved and remember.

I really loved the memorial page you created for your beloved and cherished father. excellent. Thank you. amazing
|Amy Hedrick||Clara (Wood) Gould|
I'm not sure why you added her parents to Christ Church Frederica Cemetery:
Clara's parents are interred in Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick. I have submitted their information via the form, also, Clara was not born in August of 1862, she was born 19 October 1892 in Brunswick and she died in Atlanta, not on St. Simons Island.
Also, on the bio for Clara's husband, James Dunn Gould, you have that they married on Brunswick Island which is incorrect, Brunswick is not an island.
Thank you for your time!

Please contact me as I have lots of info on some memorials you have. I've found duplicate ones also on two of yours. We need to get them combined and corrected.
Can you transfer this to me? He is my 3x great grandpa. We found his home place and his grave.
Do you have any info on if her and her spouse are the true parents of Archibald Lewis 1813-1895. Its turned into an impossible to break brick wall. I know Archibald moved to Tennessee where he married Prudence Lassiter in 1834. And I have most of the info on their children. But the elusive ? remains, is there some proof anywhere of his parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

|Sandy Whittington||Fortson Graves|
They are listed in Dogwood Acres in Douglas County, Georgia -- but there is no such cemetery in that county. Where are they buried? We maintain records of everyone buried in this county. Thank you for your assistance.

|KBetsacon||Elizabeth Gregory Thomas|
I was wondering if you could tell me where you found the family information for Elizabeth Gregory who married Marquis/Marcus Thomas (also went by M.D. Thomas) Find A Grave Memorial# 79982519. You have her father and mother listed (interesting that they share the name "Battle") and I can't seem to find any record anywhere that shows the name of her parents. I always like to verify information if I can before I add anything to my tree so I was hoping you could share with me where you found the information. Thank you so much for your time.
