I do my best in locating and photographing grave sites in the New Vienna, Ohio area and will try to add some each week as time permits. I will also be glad to transfer any memorial that doesn't belong in my family (which includes Willeford, Marker, Sunderman, Costello, Surguy, Stapleton, Henry, Enders, & Farthing), and I give permission to use any of my photos for personal use - no need to give me credit for the photo. |
You may find where I scanned photos of obituaries of various Hamilton, Ohio area military men who were killed during WWII. I added these obituaries (which were found in a box belonging to my grandmother) in order to honor their memory with their photo and story. Many of these men were in their early 20's. I enjoy what I'm doing and look forward to getting to know some of you!

We've spoken before as a result of my interest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. I noticed her obituary today, and discovered 2 memorials (167751410 and yours) linked to Mildred. Since yours was created first, is there a way to merge the duplicate? Mike

Hope you don't mind, I added an obituary from the Press Gazette to her memorial. She died tragically in an automoble accident.

I just sent you an edit to suggest a family connection with his mother, Mildred Skinner. I discovered they both died in a tragic fire in Hillsboro. Mike

Thanks to your grandmother for saving these WWII obits and a BIG THANKS to you for posting them. This has helped fill in the information on Aunt Margaret Brown's first marriage. Also another special thanks to you for your kindness for being willing to freely share your photos. To me, Find A Grave is about helping find and put family members together and sharing "our" information with others to in-turn help them.

Hi. I have received your request for a correction to Mary's maiden name. You suggested "Cole" instead of "Carl", which I have as her maiden name. She is the wife of Sylvester Garman and both are buried in Strait Creek cemetery in Highland county, Ohio. Can you tell me why you think the name should be "Cole"? My record sources indicate her maiden name is "Carl". Thanks!

Thank you, Cindy, for taking the time to photograph the grave markers for Christopher and Sarah Clark. It's volunteers like you that help make the Find-a-grave memorials complete. Again, thank you for your time and effort.
