Can you tell me where you got your information from on Jefferson Suggs please? I have a John E Suggs buried at the cemetery you listed with those dates, but he married a Wilma Suggs, and his father was Thomas Jefferson Suggs who married a Martha or Mattie. Could it be possible there is a mix up? Can you tell me the actual sources where you found his marriage record? If you search my page for John Suggs , you will see his death cert. and info there.

sorry no william thomas "tom" hendon. He was my great great grand father. Lela Hendon Foley was my grand father W. D. "Red" Foley's mother. She was his daughter. She like him died early she was 38 years old and he was 51.
I did some digging today. I believe that EW was placed in foster care very young and/or an orphanage. I don't know the story yet. I did find a will he had drawn up when he was 21. I was VERY touched to find that in the event of his death he wanted $1,000 dollars donated to an orphanage in Montgomery Alabama. I also found that he lived in a boarding home in Tuscaloosa as a young man. My great great grand father sounds like a really good man dare I say a "great".

I also hit a brick wall. My father tells me that one of EW's daughters daughter may and probably has a lot more info apparently they are into genealogy as well. They have a family reunion usually during the early summer months and we are gonna go this year having just moved back to Pickens County. If I get anything sooner I will let you know. I hate brick walls too.

Yes Lela was my great grandmother. My grandfather was william davis "red" foley. I have been asking my relatives how she died at such a young age and all they will say is she worked herself to death.

Wayne, I have exhausted all my resources looking for both of these graves. I did find Thomas Reed's grave.

Wayne, do you know where Thomas and/ or Ollie Blow Hendon are buried? Perhaps in the same cemetery where Thomas' second wife is?

Concerning Annie Hendon, # 13945981, I was wondering if you know if she was ever married to a James Sewall? I have a Georgia Ann Oliver Sewall on my mother's side of the family and I was wondering if this was perhaps the same person? Thank you.
