I have been working on our family genealogy for many years and it has been a very fulfilling and rewarding time for me. I branched out to this website several years ago because I found it quite interesting. I have many many more entries to make and to complete. It has provided the opportunity to meet family members from everywhere and to renew relationships between family members which is what I am most proud of. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might have any comments or information regarding any entries made. Also, if you stop by, please let me know because I would like to know who you are and would like to visit with you. This is a work in progress so please bear with me as information is added. I would appreciate if no one would add pictures or information without contacting me first as I have many of my own that I wish to add without cluttering the entries.|
Furthermore, I have been asked several times about transferring records. It is my policy not to transfer records. I do not ask to have records transferred and would appreciate not being asked to transfer records. This work is my own which I am willing to publicly share with anyone and everyone. It is like asking an author to transfer ownership of the book they have been writing to someone who hasn't done all of the research and the work involved. Sorry for any misunderstanding or inconvenience but this is my policy that I must abide by. However I have and may make exceptions based on the situation.

Certainly the family choice of info in the memorial is more important than what I might provide. I sometimes come across what I think might be important or nice-to-know info and I hate not to pass it on if it helps to add to the memorial. My desire is to honor the memory of those gone on and also provide info for those that look for them in the future. So if you would have decided not to add the info I provided, it would have been ok with me. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for volunteering. Blessings!
|Marsha Williams Byrd of Missouri||Thomas|
I don't know much about the Thomas family. My Great-Aunt Dora Williams married Robert Thomas and I am pretty sure the names you gave me ere their sons. One of them had a monument company. Marsha
|Steven Emmons||Alvin Henderson|
I have a correction for Alvin Ray Henderson (169900190) he is actually buried at Mount Tabor Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery not Mount Tabor Cemetery. I was there today and I'm going to add his gravestone to his memorial momentarily.
You have her as daughter of William & Maggie (Robertson) Matheson. I have done a lot of research of the family of John Mathieson, son of William & Maggie (Robertson) Mathieson who came to Canada in 1854 (according to the 1911 census for John):
In 1841 living at Overtown, Insch, Aberdeenshire, were William Matheson, age 40, Slate Quarrier, with his wife Margaret 40, and their children William 9, David 7, Charlotte 4 and John 6m.
In 1851 living at Overton, Insch, Aberdeenshire, were William Mathison, age 51, Ag. Lab., with his wife Margaret 51, children David 16, Charlotte 14, John 10 and Margaret 7, and a lodger John McGinnis 30, Slate Quarry Lab.
Son John (and presumably the rest of the family) came to Canada in 1854 (according to the 1911 census).
Found in the 1861 census for Woolwich township, Ontario:
E.D. 1, p.9
Wm. Mathieson, Labourer, born Scotland, F. C. (Free Church) 62
Margret Mathieson, born Scotland, F. C., 61
Margret Mathieson, born Scotland, F. C., 17
In 1871 living at Woolwich township, Waterloo, Ontario, were William Mathieson, age 72, Labourer, his wife Margret 71 and daughter Margret 27, Seamstress.
A question I have however is that there is a baptism record in Ancestry for the daughter Charlotte above (sister of the John I have researched) and it gives a different birth date as what you have (by the way the grave stone has a birth year of 1837 and the FindAGrave entry has 1835):
Name Charlotte Mathieson
Birth Date 16 Aug 1836
Baptism Date 25 Aug 1836
Baptism Place Insch,Aberdeen,Scotland
FHL Film Number 993191

You could ask the other person to transfer that memorial to you, since you are related. She usually will transfer to family members. And as far as the "world" caring, it is against Find A Grave rules to knowingly create duplicates, just because they are family members.

I hope that the pictures were all right. Thank you for such a wonderful job that you did with Cliff and Dorene. Yes, both of them were great people.

Would you mind if I sent a more recent picture of Cliff and Dorene? You did a wonderful job on both of the memorials
