After 30 years teaching in the classrooms of Texas public schools I retired at the end of May, 2005. I am fascinated by genealogy, and I spend quite a lot of time doing family research. I am now Director of Nancy Nail Memorial Library in Mart, TX. My husband and I have been married 34 years. I have a wonderful son and two great step-sons, two daughters-in-law and 8 grandchildren: 1 grandson and 7 granddaughters.|
After my Daddy passed away in 2009, I was elected to serve in his place on the board of directors of the Prairie Hill Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas. My husband is the president of the Kirk Cemetery Association, Limestone County, Texas.

I added the headstone photo to Verbra's memorial as well. Have a great day!

I'll also mention that I have a large family heirloom photo taken around 1900 showing OUR G-Grandparents Frank & Ellen Williams along with their first 2 daughters, Lillie & Grandmother Alma. It's in an oval frame of the type popular ca. 1915-20 and was likely copied from a now-lost original. - James Neel

Mrs. Curry, you left a note stating that my grandmother Alma Williams Irby was your "great aunt Alma". I'm beginning research into the family and wonder exactly how it is we're (obviously) related!? I also know some about her maternal side, the Blairs, particularly her grandfather Jasper's military service. - James F. Neel

You are so welcome. I thought you might like having the whole family in that lot.
|Lisa Sockwell Meredith||Sockwell Family Cemetery|
Hello. I have been searching for years for my aunt who died at birth. This was between 1920 and 1937. No record of the stillbirth with Ga Vital Records. My late uncle and father who is still alive state she was buried in Covington in a cemetery on the side of the road. I have found some paper records naming the Sockwell Family Cemetery. That's where they state she was buried. This is not listed in the Newton County Cemeteries of course. I found the address to be *between 98 and 112 Cook road*. Have you visited this location? I want to go down but wonder if the graves are visible? Thanks LISA

I am researching Todd Family and it stops at Andrew for information. I saw you posted flowers for Todd Family. Do you know the names of Andrew's Parents or where they are buried at?
