I am grateful to my mother, niece Diane and cousins Margaret and Pauline for sharing with me the research they had started on our family tree. Once I began researching and adding to what they had started I began having so much fun learning about all our relatives that I find no stopping point. To me this is more fun and enjoyable than reading a book, TV, and other activities that once took up so much of my time. My current tree has grown to over 3,000 relatives and I haven't even started on the Tillmans my married name. My recent find was an extended family member that started a Mico post office in his home about 1880 and his two sons delivered the mail twice a week by horseback to the star route in Mississippi. Later one of the sons became the postmaster and moved the post office to his new home several miles away. This was interesting since my deceased husband was a rural mail carrier in Stone Mountain, Lilburn and Bethlehem, Georgia. I was a sub mail carrier in Stone Mountain about 1963-1965.|
If I have taken a photo and posted it on Find A Grave of a relative or friend of yours, feel free to make copies. I feel it would be selfish of me to post photos of your relatives and then not allow you to have copies of your own relative for your family tree. I was reminded of this when reading Philippians 2:3-5 "If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." I get so excited when I find a missing relative and lots of them were found as a result of the generous hours donated by FAG volunteers. I am so grateful. So enjoy and happy researching.

|Nancy Yankie Sidarous||Duplicate Memorial|
I want to thank you so very much for alerting me on the duplicate memorial. I care for an elderly relative (age 96) who was negligently allowed to fall at a nursing facility so badly it required 25 stitches that evening. I received an urgent call and off to the emergency room. I'm with her everyday, but that was an all night ordeal and still much care to follow. Thank you for your kindness. Happy Trails, Nancy
|Raymond Polen||Lloyd Truumpower|
You have a request for a Lloyd Trumpower, Sr. headstone photo at Rest Haven Cemetery. In the comments you mention you are also looking for Lloyd Kenneth Trumpower, Jr.(brother, not son?) and Edith Irene Trumpower(mother).
I found a headstone for a Lloyd Kenneth and Edith Irene Trumpower at this cemetery. There are no dates on the headstone(birth or death), so I'm not sure which Lloyd this is.
Without dates I don't know whether to create a memorial for Edith Irene either. Is it possible they are still alive? If not is it possible that when/where they died family/friends were not aware that they already had plots and a headstone, and buried them elsewhere.
Let me know what you want me to do with this photo.

How are you? I hope you are doing well. I ended up moving in the midst of starting a new job so it took me awhile to get back to you. I am all settled now and getting back into genealogy.
I am planning to visit Jefferson in the next month or so. Annie Ruth Hancock's granddaughter and I have been in touch and she lives only an hour from me in Athens. (I'm in Decatur). So I am hoping to tie in a trip to Maxey Hill during that same trip.
Thanks for documenting internments Maxey Hill, it has been a great source for me to learn about my family. I am hoping that maybe my maternal great grandmother is interned there. Her son Junie Williamson is and I feel like she probably would have been buried with family so maybe she is one of the 65 unmarked, who knows unless church records list this?
The memorials related to me are:

Thank you for the corrections. I know it will assist other "newbies" like me in searching for their ancestors. If you attended Galilee with Uncle Bob, you may know my brother, Wayne Garrison and his wife, Sheree. They are also members there.
Please let me know what my duties would be if you transfer the memorials over to me? I didn't realize I could edit it myself until I played around with it.
Thanks, again. I may ask you questions in the future, if that is ok.

Thank you for your hard work and interest. I, too, have just begun this interesting "hobby". In looking for my relatives in Find A Grave, I came across my maternal grandmother's grave, Christine Lyle Loggins.Her parents are listed as Hubert Oscar Lyle (her brother) 1901-1969, also too young to be her father, and Belle H. Lyle (his wife)1901-1988. Her parents were:
Robert Oscar Lyle 1/30/1872-3/3/1952 and
Ella Elizabeth Mauldin Lyle 12/1/1876-
Also, her daughter has her name spelled incorrectly. She was my Mother and her name was spelled Dolores not Delores.
Thank you, again. As you know, clicking on the family name links can easily cause mistakes in family trees.
Thanks, the other one is in a cemetery that does NOT exist. I know that the cemetery is in Banks; there is definitely NOT one in Jackson. I know, I live there. But thanks!
Photo on side? You mean it's showing sideways to you? Strange. It still shows upright to me.
I just re-uploaded the original, so take another look and tell me how that one is, then I'll know if I need to try something else.
