I was born Kristy Johns. If I have added someone and you want more information added or would like me to remove the info I have provided please just ask.Currently I am working on a project where I want to photograph every grave in Etoniah Cemetery (Putnam County, Florida). I am also working on Peniel Cemetery As of Feb 2009 I have finished this one.|
I eventually want to to put a book together with all these pictures, obituaries and family group sheets for every person buried in the cemetery, wish me luck!! I feel very fortunate that one day someone can look back on this site and trace my footprints and see the miles my feet have trod.
I do updates and corrections once a month. PLEASE do not send me repeat messages for corrections..the name on the marker is what I will use for Memorials from now on and only that name. This is to help prevent duplicates..I will be more than happy to add full names in the BIO section

I had a question about the "grandpa turkey legs " reference. My grandpa always remembered him being call "grandpa turkey foot " I was wondering where and who the names were given.
Anything anyone might have would be appreciated.

Kristy: you are correct in that John Wilkinson's
PDN obituary was off-kilter. As you know, John &
family were in Putnam County before 1860, coming
from Columbia County. Also, according to daughter Martha Ann Hancock, Mary Wilkinson's maiden name
was HICKS, not Baxley. Per family tradition Mary
was of Indian descent, but I haven't proven it.

would you please consider transferring the memorials of my grandmother's family to me? I have asked twice before and gotten no response from you. Just let me know yes or no. They are not closely related to you. Thank you Donna

I left you a message about a year ago about transferring the memorials of my grandmother's siblings and her parents to me. None of the siblings have descendants, my grandmother has passed along with all but one of my aunts. I hope you will transfer them to me. Thank you

Other family members are Jessi Hoover Jordan, Billy Murray, and Lenna. I can add more on the biographies and pictures. Thank you so much. Mary

i just want to say thank you. for this service.. because of you i've found valuable information i've been searching for for 20 years about my family.. i can't say thank you enough!
Also #11481034 Annie Willis. Sorry I missed her. Also looking for Ruby Knowles in same cemetery. Years ago buried with a little wrought iron fence around grave next to tree. Family Bible says he is buried there and my grandmother Hazel Knowles Manning, his sister, showed me his grave. That was 40 years ago and I recall the headstone was homemade.
