Hello :-) I am very interested in genealogy and history, so I started exploring cemeteries for my family. I found it so interesting, that I now go to cemeteries to find interesting stones; ones that are old, have a lot of information, are pieces of art, that have Civil War connections, or I just choose to get the information from. I don't have family ties to the graves I post, so I can't help you with your family genealogy, sorry. I do not have a digital camera, so the graves posted with a quality photo have been visited by a friend that I am involved in transcribing cemeteries with. I try my best to make sure any information I post is correct, but if you see something you question, please email me and let me know. I recently moved to Des Moines, Iowa, so I no longer live near the Iowa County cemetaries that I have posted.|

May I manage the Find A Grave for Earl P Mohr. His dad, Frank Joseph Mohr would be my great great uncle. Frank's dad was Phillip John Mohr, Phillip John Mohr's dad was George Phillip Mohr who had my grandpa Sidney Phillip Mohr who had my dad Vernal L Mohr.
|Julie (Longfield) Davis||James Arnett at Old Scotch Pioneer Cemetery|
I recently found myself at Old Scotch cemetery and upon trying my Find A Grave app I noticed just one grave had no stone picture attached. When I came home to upload the photo I noticed there are two memorial for Mr. Arnett. I never know what protocol to take in this situation, but I thought I would let you know being you were the first contributor.
Just a friendly FYI, thank you for all the memorials added.
PS: My photo was not near as clear as the one posted to the other memorial. Time, I'm afraid, has left Mr. Arnett's stone almost unreadable.

Thank you so much for the photos, Evy. I am researching my family, and was thrilled to find them so close. John and Catherine Smart are my 2nd great grandparents. Catherine Smart is the daughter of Joseph Mullin by his first wife Mary Bay. Sarah Malinda is the daughter of Joseph's second wife Johanna (Hannah) Fauser.
Is there anything at all on Mary or Mary Polly (Bay) Mullin, 1788-1848? Everything I've found indicates she is buried in Campbell Cemetery, but there seems to be no official record I can cite. I'm desperately searching for her. Any bit of information would be so appreciated.

John Washington Dickerson & Lettie Ann Turner, I was interested in knowing if you are related to these people, and if so, do you have any photo's of then or there children. I just have basic information of them,

DeLamar Cemetery, do you happen to have the parents of John W. Brooks? firstname.lastname@example.org
I came across a reprint in a 1949 Des Moines register of the original 1911 Des Moines Register obit for Eugene Ely. If anyone would like a copy for their tree...

Thank you so very much for transferring Orange Blue to me! It was a great surprise and I promise to keep trying to find out more about him. If you read little Luna Blue's memorial lately, you'll see that Patricia Butler has been researching the Yankee Point Cemetery & informed me that Orange was the uncle of Luna Blue. I was able to find out who Luna's parents were; her father & Orange were brothers. Thanks again. With All Sincerity,
Kathie L.Webb Blair, Portland, Oregon
