Bio and Links
Bio Photo A link in the chain has been broken;
Your loved one has gone to rest.
But through your tear dimmed eyes you see,
That a loving God knows best.
And you must go on without her, and though your loss is great,
She will be there to meet you
At Heaven's Golden Gate.

By Marvel Bennett, written for my mother, Lois Goodman Skinner
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says,
"Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song,
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine thru.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.

RE: Joan Haglund, Lake View
I know that location. It's the southern end of section 23. Actually stopped by there the other day, but it had rained and I thought the stone would look better when it was dry.

RE: Joan Haglund, Lake View
It's probably Jensen. Jensen-Haglund is a cemetery monument business, and their family plot stands out from the others. And I go to the cemetery 2-3 times a week for exercise and serenity, so having a "mission" is a bonus reason.

RE: Joan Haglund, Lake View
Joan's grave is not in this section, but I think I know where it is so I will try to remember to take a pic next time I am there.

Thank you for the photos of the plot where she is buried. And for Charles H Schuyler, memorial #148365359. According to Charles' Fold3 document he was buried in the section/lot number. I guess no marker was ever placed.

RE: Mary J Daughenbaugh Goodman
Hello. Thank you for the information. How do you know the Goodmans? I never got to meet Ella Mae, my grandmother, as she died before I was born. My great-grandmother, Mary, died when I was 2 so I don't remember her. But my sisters have told me all about her. Please have Laura email me. I would love to talk to someone who knows the Goodmans. Would love to exchange pictures as well.
Mary's parents were James and Rebecca Hopper Daughenbaugh (according to her obituary) but I haven't done any research on them yet. I am now on Ancestry building my family tree. Will look there.
Thanks again!
