Bio and Links
Bio Photo My grandmother was the first person to interest me in genealogy with all her old family photos and scrapbooks full of newspaper articles. I remember picking the peonies from her garden and then visiting the cemeteries to place them on gravestones.

This fern peony was grown and nurtured in Rosalie Haymond's garden. After her passing, the peony now has a place of honor in our garden. This peony is now placed on graves out of respect and in remembrance of our ancestors.

There is a special place in my heart for all the infants and children that are the only member/s of their family to be buried at a particular cemetery. Find a Grave is a wonderful way to reconnect these children with their parents and families.

As a way to give back and help other searching families, we walk small cemeteries and then add the names that aren't already on Find a Grave. I photograph all the stones and add the photos to the memorials that are missing photos.

If you are related, we would very much like to hear from you. RE: Maude Haymond Smith
I tried that and I don't know if it's my computer or the site acting up but it wouldn't give me the "I am not a robot" link and it wouldn't send. I noticed that you preferred to receive messages via your e-mail and thought maybe that was the issue. Sorry for the extra work.

Kathi,

Is Maude of any relation to you? She was my paternal great grandmother.

RE: Elmo Brown
I have scanned the history of Elmo Brown from the Cut Knife history book and posted it on his memorial # 181695196 He would have died by now but haven't had any luck in finding out when and where he is buried.

RE: Arminta B McKelvey # 114305571
I have it all documented on Wikitree.com

Arminta McMahan married George McKelvey in 1890 in Monroe Co. OH. She died shortly after giving birth to their son in 1891 (approximately in April).

Her sister Hattie married first a fellow last name of Jeffers who died in 1889. She then married her sister's widower, George McKelvey, on Dec 31, 2891 in Belmont Co., OH.

Hope that helps!

RE: Merle Brown (Givan)
Barbara Busch's history write-up of the Henry & Eliza Brown family gave his name as Elmo David in the Cut Knife History Book.

The 1916 census for Saskatchewan lists Henry & Eliza Brown having their two boys at home with them Claude (19 yrs old) and Elmo (13yrs old)but no Henry. I have posted the 1916 census on Elmo's memorial # 181695196 for you to view.

RE: Merle Brown (Givan)
Barbara Busch wrote up the history of the Brown family for the Cut Knife history book and listed the dates when all the children of Henry & Eliza were born. She listed Elmo David being born on June 8, 1903. She did not list a Henry. She listed a Claude Ray he is buried in Burnaby, BC his memorial # is 161152556 I have asked the creator to add his parents to the memorial, so he will show up sometime soon. I do have a copy of his death certificate.

RE: Merle Brown (Givan)
Hello Kathi
I prefer to maintain the memorial for her and the Brown families, I'm not related to them but they were our neighbours when I was growing up on our farm in the Cut Knife area, I went to school with some of the Brown kids. I have the history books for the Cut Knife area and have used a lot of information in them to add to the memorials. I took photo's of all the grave stones in the Cut Knife and Rockhaven cemetery's in the past two years and have posted them on Find A Grave.
