I was born the oldest child of my parents and the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family in Baker, Oregon in the year of 1938.|
Married twice, raised four children and worked from the time I was 16 to the age of 62 when I retired.
As of this date I am a 78 year old widow. Mother of four children, two boys and two girls. I have 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
I have had a very full life up to this point except for the loss of my husband of 37 years. He lovingly accused me of being obcessed with genealogy, although he loved seeing the pictures and reading the details I found in researching our families.
I got involved in genealogy when he became ill and I had to stay home more and more to care for him. Genealogy is my pasttime and probably social life now that he is gone. I still babysit for the great grandchildren when needed and do my research in all my spare time.

I wonder if you know what happened to Elsie's husband Carl Storzbach?
|Connie Sanders Beebe||Mary Little and John Jump|
Thanks so much for the Memorial for Mary Little and John Jump. John is my 3rd great grand uncle.
Love the tombstone photo.
|Janice Hollandsworth||RE: Earle Hogg|
Yes, his memorial is now in the Manila American.
|Janice Hollandsworth||RE: Earl Hogg|
Please return the memorial to Manila American. He is not in any cemetery.
To do this you need to:
Click the blue edit button at burial.
Click continue on the next screen.
Type Manila American in the cemetery slot
Type Philippines in the country slot
Click search for cemetery.
Click the circle on the next screen.
Click Save changes.
This should put him back in Manila American and it will still be under your management. I am not sure what took him out of Manila. If the transfer did or you accidentally did it.

No, I'm not related to her. I was researching Tucker as he was descended from Cutbirths and Colemans; just hoping to figure out a connection. Then I noticed the discrepancy in information in the bio. Thank you for making the edit!

Hi. I am not related to Thelma. I add the obits in the local newspaper for their relatives to find them as you have done.
I found the brother of my grandmother included in Find A Grave and I was so happy that I decided that all obits II find, I will include in Find A Grave.

|Lynn Duncan Strandberg||RE: Denmark Cem. Curry County|
Thank you Lolita! Yes, Oran James Duncan is my great uncle. He is my grandfather's half brother. I think the wooden marker is for Albert but I can't swear it. Albert lived with his daughter Georgia at the time of his death. Albert was the great grandfather of my grandmother. She married the grandfather who was half brother to Oran. Confusing, huh??! My grandparents were cousins. I am related to all of the Duncan's, West's and Bushnell's in the Denmark Cemetery. It is a lovely spot.
Are you still in Baker? I live close!
I have added the photo of the wooden marker to Albert. I think someone may have thought that was his middle name as all other Oren's (Albert's son and brother) are accounted for elsewhere.
|Lynn Duncan Strandberg||Denmark Cem. Curry County|
We are on vacation and I visited the Denmark Cem. today. I am related to all of the Duncan's there and I found a marker, the only wooden marker other than some newly made crosses. On the very old wood marker is the name Oran Duncan. I believe this might be the son of Albert O. (my 3X great grandfather) but my info on his son "Oran" or "Owen" is he died in Illinois. Now I wonder if it could be his brother Oran. Do you know if there are any records for this cemetery kept by the county? Oran is buried by the West family, daughter and son-in-law of Albert Duncan. Thanks for whatever you can help with. PS, I took photos! If I can figure out who this Oran is, I will add a memorial.
