~ I like to photograph grave markers so that a historical record is forever captured of those who were here before us. If you keep your family tree online, feel free to use any photo I've taken to enhance your tree. All I ask is that you make a note indicating the photo was found on FindaGrave. That way others who may not be familiar with this website will be introduced.

The Old Burial Books

Taphophilia: an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.
-------------------------------------------- ~ "Did You Know..."

Many Anthropologists believe that everyone is a 40th cousin and that any two people can find a common ancestor who has lived since 800 a.d.

Fallen Officer Charles McQuire
Thank you for taking a photo of where fallen officer Charles McQuire has been laid to rest. I appreciate your time and also alerting me to there being no gravestone. He was in the army so I will see what I can do about making sure he gets a grave marker. Your efforts are very much appreciated in helping to complete this officer's memorial page. Thank you!

Healy graves
Thank you from Australia! i can't tell you how grateful i am that you found and added my Healy relatives!

James Dennis Healy #183496237
Francis J. Harkness Healy #183496540

They are my 2nd great-grandparents. They were married in around 1895 and had a total of eight children in 15 years.

Naomi Alice Healy (1896 ?)
William James Healy (18981955)
Marguerite M. "Marble" Healy (1899 ?)
Edward Cornelus Healy (19021922) #87355219
Frances Healy Coghlin (19051979)
James J Healy (19081977) #130077542
Joseph Henry Healy(19111992) #141897400
Josephine J Healy (19111979) #183497307

My Grandfather was William James Healy (18981955)
he is in the Calvary Cemetery as well but doesn't have a Find a grave memorial. it would mean so much to me if you would photograph his headstone.

And if it's not to much to ask Naomi & Marguerite Healy as well. They were both Nuns.
Frances Healy Coghlin was the was the wife of Paul Edward Coghlin (1905 - 1958).

Thank you again for all your hard work
