is Mattawamkeag the same as village cem?
recently someone posted the ashes of Elmer Briggs Jr that were found in a car trunk on Facebook; I looked up the info and found that his mother was Leone Briggs - maiden name Kyle. the info for her father and mother shows they were buried in Village cemetery, is this Mattawamkeag? thank you and can someone confirm that they are there, I found them listed as part of the Nathan Hale cemetery collection.

Ellen Dora Barnes
Hello Angela, I would like to suggest a change you posted to the record for Ellen Dora Barnes. Waldo S Bond was not her child. Waldo was my step-father and was my mothers (Ellen Mary Barnes) second husband. Her first husband(my father) was Burleigh Alexander Carr who is burried in Dover, NH. My mother and Waldo are burried in Stratham, NH. As to my grandmother Ellen Dora Boynton Barnes and her husband Jammes W Barnes are both burried together in the Millinocket, ME cementary. I took a photo of the grave marker which I will post to your record. Bob Carr

CLARKE, GEORGE FREDERICK 1927-2008 The passing of George Frederick Clarke occurred peacefully at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB Sunday evening June 22nd 2008 after a determined fight with Lung cancer. Fred was best known in New Brunswick in the 1970's as founder of the Fiddlehead films, bringing a new level of cinematography to the province. He produced award winning documentaries and commercials on New Brunswick life, including work for the government in departments such natural resources, tourism, and historical resources. Prior to his return to New Brunswick, Fred had a long career in the film industry in Montreal, cumulating in working for the MacDonald- Stewart foundation in the 1967 epic trek to the North Pole on Bombardier snowmobiles during the Centennial year. Fred served in the merchant Navy during 1943-45 on the North Atlantic run and then was preparing for the Pacific war when hostilities ended. He worked briefly in Scotland and later with Fraser's in Newcastle, NB, and also with the Industrial Adhesive Company in Montreal before turning to his first love - the film industry. Fred was an avid salmon fisherman like his father, and an automobile enthusiast savoring classic cars like Josephine de Brogolies Dusenbergs and owning himself a number of classic MGS and Jaguars over the years as well as restoring and rebuilding them. Along with his sister, Mary (Dees) Homer, he was active in the historical society of Woodstock which resulted I the restoration of the old county courthouse in Upper Woodstock. On his own, he spent much of his time restoring the 1830's public house and railway station, also in Upper Woodstock. Fred also shared an active passion for antique collecting and restoring furniture with his wife Dorothy. Born in Toronto, April 13th, 1927 he was the son of the late George Frederick Clarke, well known dentist and armature anthropologist, and the late Mary Schubert of Philadelphia, PA . Fred is survived by his wife Dorothy ( Botsford) Clarke, two sons George Frederick Clarke and his wife Karin of Calgary, AB; Robin Clarke and his wife Donna of Victoria, BC and one daughter Joan Rosetti of Boston, Mass; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The internment service was held after cremation on Friday June 27th 2008 in the Upper Woodstock cemetery.
