I love doing genealogy and searching for information on family on the internet. Findagrave is a wonderful site. I'm hoping to finally find information on several brickwalls I have in my family.

Ada Meadows?

Is Ada (Charles daughter) still alive by chance? I think she married Robert Richard Shaver...

Best regards,

RE: RE:Wm Howard Meadows

I apologize that it wasn't the answer that you needed but I was really hoping that I was right. We could start us another Meadows feud over who's right and who's wrong.... :-)

We'll keep digging.

That's not the first time that I've seen the wife refer to herself as widowed even though the husband was alive. I found one where the wife listed herself as widowed and the husband listed himself as divorced. The funny part of it was that they both remarried and they're both listed on the same page in the registry with the divorced and widowed info....

Did you happen to check on a James and Lucy Meadows? They had a William H in 1859 according to the archives....

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

RE: Henry Meadows

I just went through all of that and had a wonderful mail to send you with all of the census info, Sue's death certificate and 2 marriage registry entries and my browser blew up and I lost it all. You are correct that is not the ones that match your grandfather William H Meadows. It sure would have been helpful if they would have listed the names on the 2nd marriage register.

If you are missing any of that info, let me know and I'll send you the links.

1920 census Ada and Albert were living with her and William had already passed away.

Here is the 1930 census as that was the one that I was trying to open when everything else blew up... She was apparently living with Albert Howard and his wife and kids at this point.

I'll keep digging there has to be a hint somewhere.

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

William H Meadows

I suspect that William's parents are Henry and Delilah Jane Meadows. Based on census info that I see. 1870 has William H with Henry and Jane 1880 has William with Henry and Delilah J. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me and I'll try to explain more.

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

Hi Brenda -

I'm glad you found him. The picture showing the absence of his plot in Butte County has been removed.

Thanks for the information, Brenda. I knew the dates didn't match up, or I would have contacted you about it immediately. Hope you are doing well.

RE: Ella Pearl Scott Hobbs
Hi, I just sent you a message about Ella Pearl, but I think I might have accidently deleted it.

Thomas & Pearl had 2 daughter that are buried in # 59. Benjamin W. Scott bought #58 and John C. Scott bought # 59. John is my great grandfather and Ben was my great great grandfather. They were brothers. My grand parents were second cousins.

more later,
