I am originally from Indiana, but currently live in the southern U.S. I have been doing ancestry research for about 2 years as a way to honor the passing of my grandfather and other precious members of my family. has been a tremdendously helpful resource and I'm very grateful to everyone on this site for putting in so much time and effort to help us all honor those we have loved and lost. If I may ever be of service, I am very happy to do so.

I am researching the surnames: Pickens, Knight, Branneman, Heltonburg, Hensley, McKamey, Watson, Carter, Wakerlig, Medlin, Bethel, Palmer, Whittington, Wittweiler, Dickson, and Harrison. Other extended family names include: Tarrant, Allison, Collins, Kaylor, Koehler, Wilson, McKee, Chandler, Sowders, Butcher, Stephens, Overshiner, McCowan, Wander, Oswald, Senn, Cleveland, Rogers, Robinson, Lewis, Morgan, Bowman, Stillinger, Burkholder, Vonderschmidt, Reif, Senn, Cox, Harrison, Fleming, Elliott, Huff.

If you have any information on these family names or would like information on these surnames, please feel free to contact me! *I do not check this email address very often, but will return your message once I receive it. Thanks!

RE: Pottorf
You are very welcome, I enjoy photographing the smaller cemeteries. Walters is a neat old cemetery, way out in the country, on a hill overlooking corn fields. I photographed every stone there, and made every effort to be able to read them.

I saw the flowers you left for your grandfather and thought you might be interested to know that he arrived in the US on Aug 3, 1829 aboard the Great Britain that sailed from Le Havre, France in September.

He was traveling with his parents and siblings; Henri, George, Jacob and Madelina as well as his Aunt and Uncle; Francois & Magdelena Koehler Hermann and their children. His grandparents Henri & Magdelena Kohler were also with them as well as Philip & Maguerita Breitenbucher.

As I am sure you know, most of the Koehlers/Kohlers/Kaylors settled in Potter, Yates County, NY. They are buried in Shuman Cemetery in Potter.

RE: James Watson
I have a tree in which contains the Pickens family and the Watsons. You are welcome to check it out, it is public, and the name of it is Lynnes Tree. Oris Pickens is my 1st cousin once removed. I notice that some of the graves are in Coverdale Cemetery and some in Walters Cemetery. There are pictures of the stones for Melissa, Emma, Oris , and Myrtle but I didn't find anything for James M. Watson.

Another exciting find that I am working on is the Collins line. (Whitfield) continues in his line of ancestors to Joseph Collins, who married Suzannah Lewis. The Lewis family has many very well known individuals, including, Merriwhether Lewis of Lewis and Clark fame, and also George Washington, Fielding Lewis, and the well known estate of John Lewis in Virginia, still standing as a beautiful bed and breakfast, and graveyard,
Warner House.
I am related to George Washington, 3rd cousin, six times removed. That marriage of Suzannah Lewis and Joseph Collins will also relate you to George Washington. Check it out!

James Watson
I am the great granddaughter of Whitfield Collins.
I have several James Watsons in my tree, and if you can tell me a little more about him (state, age, wife)? maybe I can share some information.
Collins is on my grandmother's side, Watson is on my grandfather's side.

RE: Zellotus Cleveland Heltenburg Updates
I have made the link to this individuals mother and made note of the nickname and alternate spelling of the last name. However if you look closely the date you provided for birth and death are actually the birth and death dates of his wife Ada.
