Bio and Links
Bio Photo A cemetery is not a place just to bury the dead. It should be a sacred place for quiet reflection, peace, tranquility, honor, and remembrance. It is a history of people and a perpetual record of yesterday.

Love begins with a smile...grows with a kiss...and ends with a teardrop....

I will not use chalk, shaving cream, brake fluid or any other potentially harmful methods to enhance the inscriptions. Please do not use these on any photo requests I make, Thank you so very much.

Although FINDAGRAVE can be very useful for genealogy, FINDAGRAVE as the name implies is a grave registration site not a genealogy site. I try to use this as my guide when on this site.

I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial, because I am still actively looking for where the person is actually buried. This site is named Find a GRAVE for a reason.

Please do not request to add a birth date calculated from the gravestone, unless the complete age is known or listed (y/m/d). Dates that do not agree with the gravestone will be placed in the bio section. Thank You.

I, Gary Boughton, give you permission to use any photo I have taken, if you are kind enough to give me credit for the photo, Thank You. (Everyone likes to recognized for their effort) Thanks Again.

Matthew & Mary Bouton
Hi, My sister bought the book by Verna Bouton on a trip to VA/TN several years ago...I assume in one of those states. However, much of the info was inaccurate. Although interesting, I cannot vouch for the info below; it seems reliable, but I did not check out all the sources--It was obtained from another person's research. Hope you find this helpful.

Memorial #42719968
If I calculated the inscription on the Benjamin Gregory's headstone correctly, his birth date would be 27 Aug 1816. Please Check. Thank You

I am related through his wife via the Chambers family. You might inquire of Harriet the creator of the memorial. She has much knowledge on the families of that area of TN.

Sorry to be of no help.

RE: GPS (lat/lon)
Hi Gary:
This is an iphone, with the Find A Grave APP installed. I believe it works with other smartphones too. Adding GPS coordinates with photos is something new, it does it automatically, when you take a photo of the stone, there is also a option to add gps, when you don't want to add a photo, but still want to include the GPS coordinates of the gravesite. which is great for us technically challenged adults, but not without glitches. It wasn't working for awhile.
I like it, but it typing information on a phone screen is challenging and slow. Another feature the web site doesn't have, the APP lets you know, if you duplicated another memorial.

RE: John D. Bouton Jr.
You are very welcome. I love reading the old newspapers and when I can match something to a memorial, it makes me feel like I am keeping a memory alive.
