My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people.|
If you find any errors, want additional information or an obituary added, please send it through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
IF YOU REQUEST A TRANSFER, BE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO A LIFETIME OF MAINTAINING THE MEMORIAL. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW OF MY OLDER TRANSFERS ARE MAINTAINED BY CONTRIBUTORS WHO NO LONGER RESPOND.
EDITS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE SOURCE.
LINKS WILL NOT BE MADE TO MEMORIALS IN UNKNOWN CEMETERIES.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.
What kind of photos may be added to a memorial page?
You may add a grave photo of the headstone or a portrait photo containing the memorialized. Do not add photos of the cemetery gate to the memorial but instead add them to the cemetery's page. If a cemetery photo has been designated by admin to serve as the default photo to appear on individual memorial pages in that cemetery, it will appear automatically. Not all cemeteries have a default photo designated. There is a limit of 5 photos for non-famous memorials that have not been sponsored. Sponsored memorials may have up to 20 photos. Any contributor can upload an appropriate photo to any memorial regardless of who manages the page. No permission from the memorial manager is needed. However, if there is already a photo of the headstone, do not add a second similar photo unless the original is of poor quality and the new photo is dramatically better. This leaves room for photos of the deceased within the five-photo limit on unsponsored memorials. Please note that it is not appropriate to delete a page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created just because you don't like a photo that someone else has added. If the photo is an appropriate addition to the memorial, it will be allowed to remain.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You
My philosophy; "No One Should Be Forgotten".

|Anonymous||RE: Carrie Kintz|
Can you help me solve a problem or prove/disprove a theory?
I know Carrie's maiden name on some docs is listed "Stevens". I can't find any connection between her or her mother with any "Steven." Also John Orvill's birth certificate gives mothers maiden name as Chronister.
Carrie's death certificate gives her mother as Maggie Diller and father Unknown. Maggie Diller was married to Emanuel Chronister. They had 2 daughters together before the 1870 census, Carrie and Daisy or "Dessia". The 1880 Census has Carrie living alone and claiming to be a widow. I can't find a date of death for Emanuel Chronister other than between 1870 and 1913. Maggie died in 1883 and is buried with her parents. Her last name on the headstone is "Sides." I can not find any marriages to "Stevens" or "Sides."
Claiming to be a widow was done frequently in the 1880s rather than admitting to being divorced. If Maggie and Emanuel were divorced, using a different name such as "Stevens" would not be unusual either. Sometimes to remove the offending spouse from you (and the kids) life or using the name of a new partner.
This would lead me to believe "Stevens" was either a another marriage or a made up name.

I cannot locate her husbands headstone. Not yet anyways. This cemetery has been vandilized
|Meg Emord||BC Hendricks|
I'll try and locate where she is buried. BC Hendricks and Mary Elizabeth Curry are my great grandparents.
|Meg Emord||B.C. Hendricks|
Thanks for getting back to me. My great grandmother died in Longview, Washington, I am trying to locate her burial#.
|Meg Emord||B.C. Hendricks|
I am not sure how to edit to add his wife.
B.C. Hendricks was my great grandfather.
Could you please add his spouse, her name was Mary Elizabeth Curry, born in 1890 and died in 1991.
|L. Stoneturner||David A. Jones Memorial|
Thank you for submitting the obit, I searched and searched for an obit for both Sadie Jones and David, and I even paid a Local researcher back many years ago to no avail.
Thanks for all you do to preserve the memory of the Ancestors.
|naekat70||Thomas D. Bryant edit #27002430|
Thank you so much for your edit suggestion to Thomas D. Bryant. I will add your transcription of the newspaper obituary to the profile.
