I grew up on a cattle ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills. As an adult I've lived in Missouri, Bolivia, Missouri again, Germany, and now Kentucky. I used to enjoy photography, writing in my blogs, sewing, quilt making, and other crafts and pastimes, but to be honest, I'm too obsessed with the family tree to work much on those things lately!|

|Rachel Harper-Humphrey||RE: Sarah Harper Pentico in Willoughby Cemetery|
Thank you for helping me update Sarah's information. Sarah was born in Kentucky before the family moved to Kansas, where Marimon was born. I love seeing how families stayed so close together. When a child was married they often lived with the family or next door to them, as was the case with Sarah and Emanuel. I am amazed at how much information is available online these days, back in the late 90's when I started researching...we just had message boards. I'm actually pretty excited, I have a conference to attend in Kentucky next year and I am planning on visiting family gravesites while I am there.
Also, I've noticed all the work you do here and other places, thank you for your constant contributions to our community. I am thankful for you.

Her first husbands full name is Walter Ray Norris and his Find A Grave Memorial # is 55382786.
Thanks ever so much,

How very interesting. Jacob's birthdate sure could make him a slightly younger brother of John. I will have to look into this a bit more.
I am guessing the other person does not know the parentage of their Jacob? [Murphy's law . . .]
Thank you so much for the bulletin! I am always interested in sharing details.

I was doing photo request at Galva and found Joseph Hill. I'm not related. I gladly transfer management to you and you can add his information

I am sorry to say but I have no relation to Zorobabel. I came across his memorial and loved his unique name. It sounds like a perfect sea captains name.

|Russ C||RE: Clarks|
I am descended from Samuel H. Clark as well--through his son David.
I poke around in Ancestry and see various people attached to John Clark as parents and no one provides even a hint of evidence. Some are completely bogus. I have tried to follow some of the alleged names and the hunting just did not make me think there was anything to it. No one has documentation. Of course it does not help when the key people moved so many times in their lives.
I have not turned up an obit or probate record from the Marysville area for John. I purposely put extra info in the Findagrave memorial for John so there could be a slight chance it would help someone else. Just difficult hunting someone with such a common name.
I may be able to photograph more of the Deer Creek Cemetery this coming weekend with a rare trip back home and I can make it be along the route.

Yay! good luck! (probably no one else will go looking) Thanks!
|Donna M L W||RE: Reubin Martin's children, again.|
Good day Genevieve,
Please place this on hold, we are looking at 2 wives. This info I did not have earlier.
There are 2 children sharing the same first name, but it is John.
I do not want to add to the confusion but I believe some of the links associated already with Reubin Martin are incorrect. Too often cousins and siblings were named after the relatives. If I can find the burial place of some of the ones I am doubting I can straighten it out. This will be on my list, but not at the top.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
