As a lifetime history buff, and having lived near some old cemeteries, it is only "natural" that the two are now combined.
I've catalogued all the Confederate fallen in the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va. I will soon publish a roster/book with these findings and short bios/service records of these men. A copy will be presented to the Spotsylvania Courthouse Museum.
Also, I'm in the process of doing the same for the Confederate fallen and veterans in the Fredericksburg Confederate and City cemeteries.
As Historian of the above cemeteries, please feel free to inquire of any Confederate burials.
Also, I give tours of each.
The Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Park Service refers Confederate burial inquiries to me.
Please include source(s) for ALL edits. Too many times incorrect edits have been submitted, so I rarely accept non-email edits. THANKS for understanding--

Hey Dan! I'm happy to help. Please understand, I would not delete a obit sent to me and posted on my memorials. If you sent it to me and I posted it, it would most certainly still be there. This is very odd.
I am a big proponent of biographic info, obituaries, historical family records, even census records being posted on my memorials, so I would have been agreeable to have the obituary posted.
I can't recall if there was one posted for this gentleman, but I can say with assurance I did not remove it and will welcome the opportunity to re-post if you will send it to me again.

I found a copy of the Book in the Library @ Meridian, MS which is near me. Greene was my 3rd great grand uncle. Happy Ghost Hunting.

Thank you so much for the information you have provided on this Confederate Veteran. I have added it to his memorial and given you credit.

Check this cemetery on Findagrave.com. I added it last year after finding my great grandfather had a Veteran's marker in it. Perhaps add to your 30th Virginia Virtual cemetery.

I do not understand the following, Edits of name per C.S.A. military records
What is the Name?
|William S. McDowell||Mary Ann (Myers) Adams|
I would have to say the marker is incorrect. Being my 2nd Great Grandmother I have her DOB as 1815 which would make sense as she married John B. Currell in 1838. If she was born in 1825 (or thereabout) she would have been only 13 when she first married which I doubt although it is possible. First marriage produced no children and she married Captan Andrew Broadus Adams on May 19, 1842 and their 1st child was born on Mar.21, 1842 (Annie Pope Adams Bell). Thanks for checking. Keep up the good work.
