Hello, my name is Karl Stelly. I'm 63 years old, and I'm originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. I've lived in Baytown, Texas, Tulare, California, Great Falls, Montana, Killeen, Texas, Manassas, Virginia, and Louisville, Kentucky. I moved to Gettysburg with my wife about 10 years ago. I enjoy roaming the battlefield and photography, and studying the history of Gettysburg and the Civil War. I have quite a few photographs of Gettysburg and other Civil War battlefields and other historic sites posted on Google Earth. I use the name "Seven Stars" on Panoramio and Google Earth. If you see photos there by "Seven Stars," that's me!|
Feel free to use any of the headstone or grave photographs I have taken for your genealogy work, projects, etc. There is no need to ask permission first. I have no problem with people using my photos on other websites. Just give me credit for taking the photos, is all I ask.
**** NEW !!!! ****
I have recently created Virtual Cemeteries for each individual State Plot in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. This enables people to have very handy listings of all the known burials within each State Plot at Gettysburg. I have also included a Virtual Cemetery for the United States Regulars buried in the National Cemetery (at least all the KNOWN ones). Enjoy!

|Kerryann Kenney||Thank you Mr. Stelly!!!!|
Dear Mr. Stelly,
Earlier this month you updated a photo for the grave of Doris Shupp at Indian Town Gap. She was my grade school librarian and very special to me. When I grew up, I became a school librarian in her footsteps. She was a kind and loving woman who made grade school a good place for me to go. I am so grateful to have a picture of her grave as I live far away in Arizona. I appreciate the time you took for me and for others, I know you must spread happiness with your camera. Thank you so much!! Much love, Kerry

My question is about posting a Purple Heart flower for a fallen soldier. My Uncle John W. Black died of wounds and received the Purple Heart medal. I want to be sure it is not disrespectful in any way to post the Purple Heart flower. I wish to know your opinion about this because I see how important these memorials are to you. Thank you!

I have visited the Find a Grave Memorial page of my cousin Lee many times. Now I need to take the time to THANK YOU for all of the work you have done to add information to Lee's memorial. Our home town was Langhorne, PA. Just outside of Philadelphia. I have lived in North Carolina for many years, but when we travel to PA to visit family, we visit the Gettysburg National Cemetery. My maternal Grandmother was from Adams County, PA. We visited the area often for family reunions.
As a child and teenager I had the opportunity to visit the battlefields in Gettysburg.
I would like to have an opportunity to meet you the next time we are in Gettysburg. Let me know if you are willing.

Mr. Stelly, I want to thank you very much for your rapid response to a request to post a photo of a gravestone at Gettysburg National Cemetery. My girlfriend Pam who has been a member for a long time made the request for me and we are both so glad you could connect me to my relative. Thanks again, T. Allen

Would it be possible to transfer his grave to me . He was my father's bio dad. Ed and Maggie divorced and her new husband adopted my father 1920. I've been working on my Ancestry and finally found Ed, who was born in York, but lived in Littlestown, near Gettysburg. I live nearby and will visit his grave very soon.

I was amazed to find my sister, father, and mother in that order on your sight. The names would be Kathleen Elizabeth Amos, William Louis Amos, and Helen M. Amos. When my mother passed in 1998 I was in a bad state of mind when we interned her at Gettysburg. I have recently corrected her stone to indicate she was a Corporal in 1943. She served in London, England during the war. If you need any details, I can fax them to you. If there is any information you need or if you can correct her plaque on your site it would be gratefully appreciated. She was also wounded in a V-1 strike and received a purple heart for her injury. Any assistance you can provide would be a real honor to her and the next 3 generations of her family.
Glenn L. Amos
