After retirement from being an elementary school teacher, I have become more involved in genealogy. Visiting cemeteries has helped me complete some missing facts of my ancestors. Since it is impossible to visit all the locations where ancestors are buried, I have found findagrave.com to be a way to see the stones of many of my ancestors.|
Memorials that I have in Newton, Barry, and McDonald Counties, Missouri, and Ottawa County, Oklahoma, are not related to me. I have found these stones walking cemeteries and taking photos of the stones. Memorials that I maintain in Jasper County, Missouri, are not related to me. I would be happy to transfer any of these memorials to family members. The reason that I have added photos is to help families find their ancestors.
Please do not post death certificates or obits in the photo section of memorials that I maintain. I would like for this space to be available for descendants to add personal photos. Thank you for helping with this.

Judie, would you please check Find A Grave Memorial# 114182395 Woodrow Cecil Ford's page - in addition to his own stone photo you have accidently uploaded the photo for Thomas Nathaniel Ford and Mary in error. Thomas has his copy of his stone, so the one on Woodrow's page can just be deleted. Thanks for all you do! Lila

Thank you Judie - I will work through them as I add data - and working with a granddaughter of my mom's 1/2 brother. Will make it right for all while my generation is around to do it! Sure helps and goes faster when we have a "team player" with professionalism such as yourself. You are appreciated!!

Hortense Jones birth certificate indicates that she was born in Seattle, King, Washington.
Also her date of birth was April 12, 1910. She is listed on the April 19, 1910 Census Report. She was 1 week old at this time. Her parents names were listed as V L Jones and Elizabeth Dalbo.
Valentine and Elizabeth son was born and died on October 1, 1911. He was not given a name on his death certificate. His parents were listed as
V L Jones and Elizabeth Dale.
I have never seen any records with Valentine Jones using the name James. That would include his Passport.
James Dale gave the wrong birthdate for his grand-daughter. Also he listed her father's name as James instead of Valentine.
I don't know what the initial L. in for in Valentine Jones is.
I hope this is helpful.
Thanks for the information on Valentine and Elizabeth marriage license.

I am late with my thanks for finding Nancy Hedricks marker, but I am so appreciative. Find-a-grave volunteers are my heroes. :)

I was wondering if you could transfer Ace Leon Crandall to me? This was my brother-in-law. Thank you.
