Bio and Links
Bio Photo I do not add recent obituaries sent to me to memorials. If you send me one, I will probably just transfer the memorial to you.
If you want to use any of my photos for your family tree, you have my permission.
I am shy about going to cemeteries through private property and I avoid really large cemeteries in hot weather.
Otherwise, I am happy to help.
If you want me to delete one of my photos so that you may add a better photo - no problem.
My husband and I don't have a relative, living or dead, south of Little Rock, Arkansas. My Deep South memorials are not my people.
My list of PET PEEVES:
1) Moldy old silk flowers.
2) People who don't say thank you.
3) Fire ants and wasp.
4) Too much herbicide around tombstones.

RE: Joseph B. Grice
You have provided terrific information. Thank you for this. I tried a second time and found Muller's death notice in the NY Times. I've put in an edit to establish place of death at Tarrytown and copied both obits into another edit that I hope will be placed in the "bio" space on his page. I've been to Elizabeth City (damn near drowned off Nag's Head), sung in Plymouth Church, and heard concerts at Ascension. Jeff Richman, the historian at Green-Wood, will want to know about this stuff if he doesn't already.

RE: Joseph B. Grice
I'd be interested to know what you know about the Muller family. It appears that Mary Grice Muller, who outlived her family, saw to the collection of her daughter (Mary Burnham) and the daughter's infant (I assume she and the child died in childbirth), her daughter's older son, Frederick, and her brother, Joseph, to this lot from previous graves. Finally, she buried her husband here. When she died, there was no one left to see to a stone or inscription for her. Her husband, Frederick Muller, appears to have been an organist who spent a lot of time on the road. He was born in Germany, Mary Grice Muller was born in NC, daughter Mary Burnham was born in Louisiana! I have been unable to find anything about Mary Burnham's husband--NOR have I been able to find any evidence that they were ever residents of NYC for any significant amount of time, and yet, they are buried here. What do you know, I wonder?

Please click on the photo to enlarge it and reveal the caption, which explains the newish stone and the error in the birthdate. Edits have been submitted, so that the page creator can update the information. OR, you could click on the link to the left of the photos where the name Laura Dougher-Goodman appears and send a message to Laura asking her to transfer management of the page to you.

RE: Benjamin William Lanier
Thanks for the clarification! Don't you wish they would have named their children either with numbers or very differently?!

RE: Benjamin William Lanier
BW Lanier is Benjamin William Lanier born 1817-died 1870. He is my 2nd great grandfather and I have the facts on him. Yes, he was a Confederate and served in the military. He was a POW also. However, his grave is located in Palestine Cemetery in Grant Parish next to his wife's grave.

RE: Ruby Berkey Reno
The photo is great as is. George's life is an open book, so I'm not concerned with his personal info being out there. Thanks again!

I'm not sure if I already thanked you for the photo of Ruby Reno's marker (#158725727) or not but wanted to make sure I did. Health issues, family & holidays have consumed my time the past few months -- I'm just now getting back to old email messages and genealogy posts. Anyway, I really appreciate the photo of her marker.
Have a great day!

Thank you so much for a picture of his headstone. I searched the cemetery with my cousin and we couldn't find his grave. I greatly appreciate the time and effort you spent finding the grave, taking the picture and posting it to FindAGrave.com. I hope you will allow me to use the image in my family tree.
Best wishes,
Anna Rowe Love
