Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest in Find A Grave began while researching my family history. After creating memorials for my ancestors and extended family, I added information from obituaries in old extant newspapers.

For the past few years my focus has been on taking headstone photos. I am currently playing catch-up, editing and adding pictures I took in 2015 and 2016.

Like you, I am a volunteer. I participate in this labor of love because I believe it's an important part of our history.

I will gladly update any memorial in my care with a sourced request. Simply share a few details about how you know something to be true when you submit an edit (using the edit tabs please).

Inside voices and good manners are very much appreciated.

Aha! I remember it now -- it was his Missouri death certificate. You can search it at Missouri Digital Heritage.

I almost sent another edit, then I realized that Find a Grave wasn't yet up to your standards.

RE: Ellis Gary Lee
I be happy to send my sources, but could you send me the memorial number?

Thanks

I found the information, found where it went in Find A Grave, and sent it.

I'm thinking it was yeterday or the day before.

Now you want me to look it up again? Or do you expect me to remember the source? Shoot, I don't even remember the information!

I know the source is important because I know what it's for: your amusement only!

I infer that with a high degree of certainty because I carefully noted the sources already shown on the memorial.

I am too old to play this game. Forget (and lose) the suggestion.

Or, if you care at all, you can to to his record on FamilySearch, where I have been operating generally in parallel, and find it there. But I don't ALWAYS enter in both venues, so I won't guarantee that the source is there. I'm just adding this in case YOU want to do the extra and extraneous work.

RE: Jalmer and Gladys Bergseng
Hi Laura,

Gladys Bergseng, nee Greene, is my 1st Cousin, 2x removed. I found her birth records and social security records, death records, church records, ect.. for her and her husband thru ancestry.com and other web sites like archives.com and genealogybank.com
I would be pleased to carry the torch for their memorials.
regards,
Ron Greene

RE: Ernestine Schmidt Bosma
Ernestine Schmidt Glei Bosma married my grandfather in 1955 a few years after my grandmother died, Petronella Hollebeek Bosma in 1951. We had many family gathering with Ernestine's 2 children, Willard 'Bud' Glei and Phyllis Glei Heidt. Willard lived in Michigan near my Grandparents in Springlake and Phyllis Heidt lived in McHenry, Illinois. I have traced all of Ernestine's siblings and parents and can send you the details if needed. Quite easy to find in Illinois Census records. Her father immigrated from Germany in 1886 and married Ernstina Kempp (surname spelled many different way in various birth, death and marriage record). 11 children born to this marriage. Philip Schmidt died in 1923, Ernstina died in 1935. Ernestine Schmidt's first husband died in 1946, Walter Glei. Her sister lived near my widowed grandfather and I believe she arranged them meeting.

RE: Stanislaw and Maryanna Kapustka
The Kapustka family is in my husband's tree on Ancestry.com. They are the grandparents of his 1st cousin 1x removed. The information is from death and naturalization records. If you want to transfer them to me, that would be fine. Thanks for your conscientious work on findagrave.

RE: Harold and Lois Kinyon
Hi Laura:

Harold Kinyon is my 4th cousin. I got the birth and death information for him from the SS Death Index and the California Death Index.

For Lois Scherwitz Kinyon: Cook County Illinois Birth certificate index and the SS death index.

Thanks.
