Bio Photo Hi,

I am a retired veteran and genealogist. I work on Fort Knox so I have opportunities to visit some cemeteries on post and in Hardin County, KY.

If you would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please let me know by using the Edit tab and sending me a note.

I take the time to go to the cemeteries, take and post headstone pictures so family researchers can find their ancestors, so if you use my photographs and post them on any for-profit web sites (ex, Ancestry.com, etc), please give me credit.

Pickerill
Sorry. sometimes I'm probably not to constructive
on my sentence structure.
Daniel D Pickerill and his spouse Mildred Petty
are listed as the parent's of Walter Joseph Pickerill. On a genealogy site I sometimes use
my meaning of hopefully. That this paid membership
site wasn't wrong. in posting the data Walter's spouse is Emily Francis
Morris which would be thru my line to the Pickerill's. I hope that clears that up.

Thank you so very much for the "quick" link of Margaret to her parents. Thanking you in advance for a couple more children buried in the same cemetery to be linked to Roy and Margaret. Kind regards, Nancy

RE: Lew Tharpe
Lou was an in-law of mine. Her Townsends married into the Reeds and her husband's Tharps did as well. Her name is spelled as Lou Resa Tharp in everything I've seen.

Lou Resa Tharp
The first and middle name is currently misspelled. If you look at her death certificate, you will see the correct spelling of "Lou Resa". Check her memorial and please change the errors. Thank you.

I would Love it. Yesterday my mother gave me all the genealogy work my paternal grandmother had collected and worked on in the 1970's and 80's. I'm super excited to get this family straightened out. thank you for your help.

William J. Mayfield
One question -- how did you discover the name of his father to be William? I did not have his parents' names...

Thanks,

Doy

Hi! Wow, you are GOOD!!! I assumed he died in the Civil War, but did not know details! I am rather in shock.... William J. died at age 48 years, 10 months, 25 days, fighting in the Civil War. His son was wounded in the same battle. They were Union, in the border state of KY. And would you believe, I had never even heard of the Battle of Perryville?! Thanks so much for following up on all this!!
