|Kathy||RE: Roxa Richey|
The Seeley Genealogical Society has only 5 children for Albert and Theana -
(1) Frances M Backus Roach;
(2) Susan Elizabeth Lanctot;
(3) Laura S Wheeler (although they have Wheller);
(4) Roxa Augusta Richey; and
(5) Albert Alonzo, married Mary E Scott.
It appeared that you had edits to link Frances, Susan, and Laura.
If I'm reading things correctly, the SGS's info stops with the names in this generation. Don't know if that means there aren't other children, or the SGS just doesn't know about any others. I'm a member, so I thought I'd send in the info on Roxa's family.
As to the spelling - anything goes! I think part of the reason, though, for finding -ley in more census records than -ly is that -ley was the more common spelling and the census-takers didn't routinely ask people how they spelled their names.
Would you like to manage my memorials for Roxa's family? There are two memorials that aren't mine. You're more closely related than I am, and you're the one who found the connection - I probably wouldn't have without your help.

I hope you are doing well.
Thank you for the links for Roxa! I'll accept them as soon as I finish this note. Since you let me know her mother was a Seeley, I've found a lot more information about her, which I'm in the process of posting. I've also posted the marker photos for the family. If you see that I've done anything wrong, please let me know.
Are you related? I am, through the Seeley line, but it's pretty distant.

Boy, that was a big ooops! Thanks for letting me know. I must have been up too late and too tired when I did that one??
I will transfer them to you if you want them. I am
not related in any way; Emma, Hozy, and Agnes, that is.

So glad you made contact ... this is not my famiy - - I'm working on the line for a good friend - - and with all the census I looked at - could not find Joseph as a brother to the large number of other children belonging to Abigail Baker Hadley...
I actually did that edit - - just hoping to raise the "live person" with a good opinion of the maatter - - and Eureka - - there you were ..
So so glad you responded...
Thanks and good hunting..
I'll continue to search elsewhere - - at this point they either are in an undocumented cemetery - - did not have tombstones - - and are lost..
Thanks once again, Kathy
