I'm 88 years old and have Parkinsons so I no longer drive. We have a very good research library here in Boise but I am unable to help anyone. I've been researching my family for 50 years and thought I was through, and then I discovered FAG. Now I spend my day making memorials for my extended family - putting all my research to good use. 6/27/2014

RE: PIKE CEMETERY - Aylor
I have photos of all the markers at the Keith Cemetery in New Hartford from about 3-4 years ago. There is a marker in my photos for Clint and Eva B. Aylor. Let me know when you get their memorials made and I will gladly add the photo I have.

RE: NICHOLAS HOLSTINE
Interesting...I will have to go back and look but if I remember in the 1840 census Hugh is listed as having several girls. I will go back and look again.

RE: NICHOLAS HOLSTINE
I have:
Joseph b.1810 married Elizabeth Mooney 29 Sep 1834
Eliza b.1812 d. 11 Mar 1880 m. Jesse Tabor who died by 1850 then married Elijah Moye 4 Oct 1864
William H. b.1813 d.1871 in MO m. Martha Burnside 10 Dec 1835
James W. b. 1815 m. Minerva Minner 23 Oc5 1835
Lucinda b.1816 m.Henderson Burnside (both died in an epidemic of what was called bloody flux by 1860)
Henry H. b. 4 Aug 1817 d.Mar 1891 in MO m. Martha Dillion 1940
Nicholas F. b. 6 Jun 1831 d. 2 Dec 1867 in MO m. Susan Dunbar 27 Apr 1854
Mary E. b 1833 m. John Belcher 1855
Thomas b. 1836 m. Flora Kincade 1855

I know that William, Henry and Mary came to MO 1858, Nicholas' family followed after the war. One of the Burnside children survived and went with them as well I believe.

We'll see how that tracks with your information. You are the first I have been able to connect with regarding the family.

RE: NICHOLAS HOLSTINE
The sister I have is Mary who married a Belcher. I am connected to Hugh through his son Henry. I would be interested in the list of Hugh's children you might have. Henry and Martha died and were buried in the Dillion Cemetery I believe. Their son (my ancestor) James Ambrose is buried next to them. He has a stone but there are two field stones next to him I believe that those are his parent's. I do not have the find the grave memorial for Nicholas.

RE: NICHOLAS HOLSTINE
Nicholas and his wife Susan (Dunbar) moved to MO after he got out of the Confederate Army. He died there in 1867 and she later remarried. Hugh died by 1861. Several of his children went to MO c 1858. William, Henry and Mary (Belcher) went that I am remembering.

What is the memorial for the Nicholas you have?

No it really isn't a strange duplication this is how most of them happen because some people go by middle name and some go by first names. The Find A Grave Member #47526185 person that did Angela R. Quarles went by her death certificate. And Joan Edmonson Find A Grave #46602147 that did Roberta H. "Bertie" Holstine Quarles went by the Cedar County Cemetery Book. I have sent in a request to the people that did them, The Person that did Angela's should delete it but if they are no linger on Find A Grave it might not get deleted. Joan should change the name on her memorial page to Angela Roberta Holstine Quarles. But I can't make them do it. I am not an employee of Find A Grave. I am just a person like you that helps people on find a grave. But you have to give them about 2s days from the time you send in the message. The Find A Grave system will automatically change the name of Roberta's after about 21 days. But Angela's might never get deleted. Sorry but this is all I can do.

RE: Lebeck Cemetery, Cedar Co., MO
Hi,
In looking at the dates they could be the same person. The middle initial is different but that could be a mistake. I know nothing about the people down there and added her from a list I had access to. I have talked with contributor # 46890960, Tess, on this site a few times and maybe she could help you. I believe she lives in that area and does a lot of research on the cemeteries down there.
