I am a retired Tech Lab teacher in middle school.|
I enjoy genealogy and creating photo album pages of grandkids. I especially enjoy taking pictures of headstones. Cemeteries are lovely, peaceful and quiet.
PLEASE use the edit button to request transfers and make changes/additions to memorials.
Also, since I take a large number of cemstone photos, it is time prohibitive to clean them, especially the older ones, before taking a pic. I will be glad to retake any photos upon request.
AND, I would really appreciate any email communication to include the memorial numbers of the person(s) to whom you are referring. It is so time consuming (and open to error) to find names using the search tool.

Mae, Thank you for putting through the edits. I will look on Fold3, National Archives site, for his service record and send to you. Wm. Neff
Thank you Mae for trying to find my cousin's grave. I am just wondering, when you took the photo for his wife, Frances Elizabeth Drake Bottiger, if Harry wasn't buried with her? You listed names with her burial. Was that "Harry" a Bottiger?
I also notice on his profile for here, they have his birth as follows:
Aug. 12, 1875
I myself have as follows:
BIRTH 12 AUGUST 1878 • Upper Paxton, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, USA
Thank you for fulfilling my other requests.

I know of Holley and Kate thru my grandmother and aunt Merita, but all that I know of Harold is thru census records. I am sure that Harold and Hazel were husband and wife from census. I am having trouble getting Peter and Emma Holman in as Hazel's parents. Peter is # 67340599.
Mae, I want to thank you again for all the wonderful work that you have done and are doing on Find A Grave!!! I tell people how some of the volunteers go for quanty but you delivery quality information and wonderful pics. May God Bless you!

Thanks Mae! There was no daughter with that name living with them in the census reports, so I wondered. But maybe someone will come up with documentation!

Hi Mae, when I sent it I didn't know the dates, then Dennis went to the library and found the obit and sent you the dates! I am sorry for that confusion! I think her name was Georgana without an "i." Hope this solves it. I still don't know that the father is buried in MML but I can't prove that he is at Cottonwood with the wife and daughter, though. At least now there is a record of him. I'm still "collecting" records on Civil War soldiers, if you run across any, and have started to save former slaves in a virtual cemetery, too. Thanks for all your help!!! Becky
Hi. Is aches certainly happy to find the headstone for Per and Brita Liljeblad captured image. As is my grandfather's uncle. Unfortunately I can not find any children to them. Would be nice if someone knew a little more.
In Sweden, their names Per Larsson and Brita Andersdotter.

I found a census that showed a granddaughter was living with August Luebke and his wife, Barbara. August was Barbara's second husband, her first husband, Fredrick Gundelfinger, died in 1870.
I haven't been able to find any information about this granddaughter, Alvina Worns, other that she was born in 1887 in Kansas (according to the census).
Any information would be much appreciated.

I can't read the painted marker, but I wonder if it is for John, Jr. and shows the birth year as 1869, and the military marker is for John, Sr., who obviously was born earlier.
Nancy's birth year more closely corresponds to being married to a Civil War veteran, too.

Hello Mae, I am wondering about Find-A-Grave Memorial #100904342. I am very curious about this person, Caroline Pollard as I believe she was the sister of my great-great grandmother. One thing does not match up though. If she was my gr-gr grandmother's sister her maiden name would have been Smith not Wilson. Do you know anything about this lady? Everything I have found out fits except for the maiden name "Wilson." Thank-you for any information you may be able to provide. Julie Scott
