Bio and Links
Bio Photo We completed a survey of all known cemeteries in McMinn County plus transcribed McMinn County death certificates from 1914-1955.
Surnames we are reseaching: Marvin's lineage = Templin, Click, Bryant, Sisk, Smith, Waddell, Gross. Samme's lineage = Carpenter, Simpson, Hutsell, Julian, Warren
Whenever we go out to fill a request, we try to take photos of a few of the surrounding burials. Never know when you might help someone find a lost relative. We also take tombstone pictures of any veterans we see, as we try to honor ALL VETERANS regardless of when they served.
A big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave volunteers who have taken tombstone pictures for us.
We are always working on adding veterans to national cemeteries. Our way of honoring our veterans.

Eula Blakely #75398473
Thank you for all your work! I wanted to give you some information for Eula Lee Blakely, named after his Mother Eula Thomas Blakely who died immediately after giving birth to him. (He was called Jack by his family.) Eula/Jack was my grandfather's first child by his first wife. Jack's father (O Mardies Blakely) is Memorial #23116004 and his Mother (Eula Thomas Blakely) is Memorial #23115979. Jack was born in Texas but after he left To join the Navy he settled in California. He was born in Gause, Texas and although I haven't looked up any documentation it was most likely the date of his mother's passing which was August 10, 1904. I was alway told by my Grandfather (Jack's Dad) and other family members that she died in child birth.

Anyway it would be nice if you could make this update. Let me know if you have any questions. (I also sent you an email but was afraid it might go into junk mail.)

Thanks again.

Edit- Duplicate
Hello, there are 2 entries for my grandfather's gravesite in FindaGrave. As yours is the 2nd, I wonder whether it should be removed? The first entry, #3832287, was created Mar 04, 2000. Your entry was created Dec 28, 2011. Lucky for me you are both pointing to the same plot (which I remember, because I was there when he was buried.)

Thank you for the work you do. What's the best way to delete this duplicate?

Forever Grateful
Gertrude Melton

Thank you for the work that you do! It is very much appreciated.

Would you be so kind as to take a picture of Gertrude Melton's headstone, Find A Grave Memorial# 27361883, for me please? Also, would you also check to see if she is buried next to anyone. C.S. Melton was her husband and preceded her in death and I am unable to find them together.

Thank you again!
