|I have always been fascinated with cemeteries. Even as a child, I would sit in a local cemetery and imagine what the people were like, and what did they do. What was their story? |
While working on my family genealogy, I realized that it was silly to go to a cemetery and only look for my family. Invariably, I would find a connection between one person and another....so back to the same cemetery. That got old. So, I began taking photos of all the stones....well...as many as time would allow on that given day.
I find it sad that stones are being damaged and time is decaying the last honorable thing a family can do for their loved one.
Lest they be forgotten.

Regarding the findagrave page for "Mary Bridgham Rawson."
Actually, this is Mary Rawson, born July 5, 1779 to Ebenezer and Sarah (Chase) Rawson. She married Sullivan Bridgham on Feb. 26, 1805 in Sutton, MA. Sullivan died that same year. About 1812, Mary (Rawson) Bridgham married Thomas Brown of Minot, Maine.
Mary (Rawson) Brown died Nov. 13, 1867.
