Hello Craig,
Thank you for responding. I am also thinking she was not Allen's biological mother as well, I believe Mathias married at least five other times. I did find a record that she had a daughter Angeline chaffeine, chaffine being her married name. I just recently sent off for my Ancestry DNA test so hopefully, it can fill in some blanks.

Hello,
I am looking for any native American in my family. I have gotten to Allen Taylor my 4th great-grandfather on my mom's bio dad side. It says his father married several women, one being a Choctaw/Cherokee Indian named Elizabeth/Betsy Box. I was wondering if you had any more info on this?

Craig,
Thank you so much for going to that cemetery and taking a picture of Mary Sumner Courington's (my GG grandmother)grave marker. I know many others will appreciate finding their ancestors grave marker, too.

Thanks again,
Jennifer Green

I'm confused. I looked again and Craig Burton is listed as the creator. How did this happen?

Do you have any idea why he died so young?

RE: James R. Uptain's grave
Thank you so much for that information. I will visit his grave when we travel to Baltimore later this year (I hope). Claude is my grandfather who died when my dad was 4 years old. He was a member of a traveling minstrel group who performed throughout the northeast including the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Claude was nicknamed "Frog" and he named my dad after his dear friend Jack Plummer in the minstrel group.

James R. Uptain's grave
Thanks so much for locating his grave and adding the photo. That is a large cemetery and we did not find him in the vicinity of the other Uptains. Where is he located?

Just wanted to compliment you on the way you have the page set up...it is so easy to read and figure out whose kids are with what spouse. I wish everyone would do it like this!!!

Kudos
