Hi, I am a native of Bay City, TX. My main cemeteries that I take pictures at are: Cedarvale-Bay City Cemetery, Roselawn in Van Vleck (in process of documenting the whole cemetery), Historical Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, Eastview in Bay City and Hawley in El Maton. I am also a member of the Matagorda Co. Genealogy Society and the Matagorda County Historical Commission. SO...any pictures that I take will also appear in the TXGENWEB--Matagorda Co. (which is a great place to find interesting facts about Matagorda County.)|
Thanks to everyone who submits information, but. . .please do not place copies of death certificates on memorials. This information can be typed into bios and leaves room for photographs.
I enjoy the search and challenge of finding the graves. Photo requests get my highest priority. When I go out to fulfill a photo request, I photograph all the markers in the family plot. The rules I follow; "Photograph the grave/gravesite "in-situ", or as it appears in that moment in time. The purpose is to show the grave as it is, be it dirty, cluttered, broken, or pristine. It is not your job to clean it, clear it, fix it, or decorate it. The graves are not yours to do as you please. Remember, one person's "good deed" just might be another person's vandalism. Go take lots of photos...but do it like an anthropologist and do not disturb the grave site. -AJ" Mar. 10, 2013
If I can be of any assistance, please contact me. Blessings...Prissy53

You are welcome. They were lifelong friends to my family.
I am researching my husband's family & recently found your memorial for a Minnie Keys who is buried in Bay City. I also found a memorial for the same person it seems - only they have her listed as being buried in Wharton. My question is: Do you know if there are any of Minnie Keys' family members buried near her in Bay City? Her death certificate lists the Bay City plot. I will have to make a trip to the Wharton cemetery to check it out. They do not have a headstone picture listed. The memorial is Find A Grave Memorial# 137515058. The person who made that memorial doesn't have the option of messaging them.. Thank you for any insight you can offer! I think it is wonderful that you offer all of these memorials!

Hello. I have pictures of Margaret Maurine Harmon as well as ancestry details. Can you transfer to me for changes? Or, if you prefer, I can send you the information and you can upload it.
I have placed a photo request for her grave and would like to say thank you in advance.

Hello. Would you please connect the above to his father, Richard Thomas Sirmon, #20483254?
Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for the photo for their graves. She is my 5th cousin and headstone photos are the only photos I have for much of my family.
Volunteers are what make this website such a valuable resource or family research.
