Long-time lecturer of writing and women's studies at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH. I am an addictive reader, am interested in geneaology, folk music and sacred harp, and am an Anglican, guitar player, singer, guardian of two rescue dogs and mother of a beautiful adult son.|
I enjoy walking in cemeteries and have made it a personal project to photograph and record the headstones of military personnel in addition to requests in local cemeteries, in honor of their service and the service of my father, stepfather, and uncles in World War II and Korea, friends from Viet Nam, and students from the Gulf Wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If any of these service persons or others I have added are family members and/or you wish to manage their memorials, just let me know. I am happy to transfer.
Anyone who wants to use my photos in their family tree, on Findagrave, or any other site may do so without my permission.
I am primarily a volunteer photographer and often am unrelated to the people whose memorials I make, so I am happy to transfer. I am doing this work to honor what would otherwise be lost lives, to make visible what has been forgotten.
I would very much appreciate tributes of love to the memorial of a baby whose heartbreaking obituary I found in a newspaper from 1926, and another from a death record:
Baby John Doe: 136921616
and to a young girl who had a hard life and a brief stay in this world: Rene Holley 145768090
Heartfelt thanks to all those who have already added notes--you mean more than I can say.

I am not blood either but she does connect to my tree. Thanks for the offer. My tree is 45,500 people. I help others find there family that connects to my tree. Thanks for your help with my edits.

I am sorry that it took so long to honor your request. I've been away from Find A Grave for quite awhile. I'm back now! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.
|Bess Jr||Memorial# 166210586 Robert Otto &166210682 Herbert Romberger|
Thank you for your kind response. Neither Robert or Herbert are family.
However, I make up memory booklets for our church family members that lost loved ones this past year. Robert Otto Romberger and his wife, Emma Doris (Arthur) Romberger are the parents of our Robert Arthur "Bob" Romberger who just passed away this past February. Likewise, Herbert Milton Romberger is Bob's brother.
As Bob's wife and numerous family members and many of his church family survive, my booklet will be provided to the church and select individuals desiring a copy with my blessings.
I have put together many memory booklets for surviving family members of our "Greatest Generation" from the WWII era. If you would like an example, send me a request via email.
Again, thank you so much for your kind response to my Find A Grave suggested inputs...Bess Jr or Sam.

You are welcome.
Is her mother buried next to her?
Katherine Schenk, 1872-1939
The stones are mounted on the same concrete base. Could just be something the cemetery did.
