RE: Fritz father/son at Calvary
No problem, glad I could help! Do you by chance know any funeral information about them? I've been trying for years to figure out where the services took place and who performed them without much success. Haven't had much luck finding family members either. Hope you are enjoying the findagrave web site!

RE: Hartgrave Cemetery
I was just looking at an online map of Cherry County with the coordinates on it, and discovered that the cemetery is in the middle of the SE 1/4 of Sec 7, T27, R25!!!!

RE: Hartgrave Cemetery
I was pretty excited to at least confirm it's location. I just wish that I had a township map to verify exactly where and in what township it is actually located. To date I haven't been able to find a current map.

RE: Hartgrave Cemetery
Well, I sorta did and didn't find the cemetery today! I took a road trip to Elsmere and drove up Goose Creek Rd NW for about 6 miles before stopping to inquire. As luck would have it the old gentleman living there used to own the property where the cemetery is located. He said it was fenced, but there are no stones or markers. His daughter got her computer and used the Acme maps to try to find it. We could not find it, but they told me it was about a mile straight north of a farm and was out in a pasture. We could not reach the present owner of the property by phone to see if it was still fenced. So not wanting to drive another 12 miles not knowing if the fence was still there, and the fact that there are no stones I decided not to go any further. However, after I got home and looked at the Acme map using the coordinates that you have it was dead on a little fenced area. So that is where it is, but I never actually got there. Sorry!

Oh good, glad you're OK with the photo. They might have run into the first stone with the equipment and damaged it pretty badly. Such a beautiful photo of Gertrude you posted.

Wow, I didn't know that my great-aunt's husband's grave didn't have a marker. Thank you for using the cross for the photo.
