I am the grand daughter of Brantley James Mathis. Can you tell me why Dee Arlin Mathis changed his name to "Matthews"?

I found this bio interesting....'storying' about her age in 1920 when she died in 1894....do you find this weird?
Hi! I believe that Stephen Burton Johnson was the father of my 2nd great-grandfather, Miles H. Johnson. My Great-grandfather Arthur Brest Johnson married Dora Barnett. Do you have any more information regarding Arthur or Miles? Apparently Stephen Burton was married twice. Cassandra Long died, and he remarried Nancy Jane Barber, at least that's what I've found on Ancestry.com. Any help that you can offer would be much appreciated. My grandmother, Clyda Johnson Hoover, knew nothing about her grandfather, except that the family came from Linden, Perry County, Tennessee and that her father's father was named Miles. I have some information and pictures of the Wright Smith Barnett children, of Bellefonte, Arkansas. Thank you for communicating! Ed Rea, firstname.lastname@example.org, Find A Grave #48199043

Hey do you live in Perry County, TN? Because one of my distant cousins' ex-wife died in Perry County, TN, and I was wondering if you lookup obituaries too?

|Phil||Question about the Cottons|
Have you been able to figure out the fact that both Henry William Cotton and his sister Sarah Jane Cotton both have birth dates in April 1855? Were they twins? Henry is listed as being born on April 25, 1855 and Sarah is said to be born on April 21, 1855.
I descend from their sister Martha Ida Cotton McGee.

Thank you for your suggestion for linking Leslie Jean Hinson to her mother, Oneida. The link has now been added. :)
|Linda ||Qualls Connection|
Hi Dale, I am Linda Hudson in Cypress, Texas. My great grandmother was Emelia Emeline Qualls -- I think the child of Moses, son of Isham. I think because of errors on census records -- and then there was one time I thought I found her attached to Richard Chelsey Qualls who died during/after the Civil War. I thought for a while Moses just adopted her. So, I am trying to put Emeline "Milley" with the right Qualls family for sure. Any info would be appreciated. Milley is buried about 5 miles from my Mom in Lavaca County, she married Isaac Lee. So, any docs/data -- info you have would have me over the moon. Thank you,
