|I've been researching my family roots since the fall of 1999. I started researching because of a Social Studies project given to my son when he was in 6th grade. It was a year long school project, the students were to trace their family lines back to the immigrant and present their results in a 3 ring binder. Well needless to say I was hooked helping my son write letters to family members asking for help and documents to verify the info. Helping him to get BMD certs for family members from all over. Going to visit the cemeteries here in Pennsylvania to get pics of gravestones for my husband's family lines. Unfortunately, my family lines are all out in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio. I didn't find this site in time for his project, but I am hooked on genealogy & I am hooked here and feel as though I can't expect folks out in the Midwest to take pics for me if I don't take pics of gravestones here in my local area.|
I have transcribed & taken pics for 3 small cemeteries in the area. I am working on taking the photos in a few other larger ones here in the Mechanicsburg area.
Researching my maternal line families in London, England; and additional villages of Westmill, Aspenden, Great Munden, Hertfordshire, England.

Thank you so much!
|Erin Moehle||Mount Zion Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery|
Hi! I saw that you took some pics of the Mount Zion Evangelical Methodist Church Cemetery in Silver Spring Township, PA. I have some relatives buried in the cemetery (Simon & Mary Ann Hinkel and several others). I am headed through that area in June and was wanting to visit the cemetery. I am having a hard time figuring out where this cemetery is actually located. After much searching, it looks like it is next to the road on Route 11 (Carlisle Pike) at the west end of New Kingstown, PA. Is this correct? Thank you so much for your help!

Just wanted to say thank you very much!
|Brenda Nicholson Hess||Hello and Good day to you.|
Researching my grandfathers history. Samuel (1910), his father George (1886) is a son of Samuel G (1865) who is brother to my grandfathers dad (my great grandfather).
Forgive me, I don't know all the technical terminology used. I enjoy reading about their history and connecting the families together here on find-a-grave.

Yes, I figured out that you and Wendy Houck must be part of the group of volunteers that go to cemetery's and gather information from the stones to post on the findagrave site, but when there were death certificates and obituaries I thought possibly there was a family connection. I was hoping there was and that you would know more about my Grandparent's as we have come to a blockade and can't seem to find much information before he was about 15 years old other than his Mother died when he was 5 to 9 years old, depending on when he was born, different document's put his year of birth as 1858, 1862, 1864, or 1865. His Father married a third time after his Mother's Death but he is never shown on a Census with him. In the 1880 Census he is listed with his Grandfather, Richard, and is said to be 15 years old.
Well thanks anyhow. Vicki

Thank you for transferring Andrew to me; hoping all the work I am doing now on family memorials helps those who follow.
|Olive Hoffman||RE: Andrew Hoffman # 70217849|
Andrew is my 3rd great grand uncle, brother to David, the father of Levi, my great grandfather. Not as close as Find A Grave outdated "rules", but family and I am the family historian so doing all I can to update/connect families that too often is hard if I have to wait/hope for someone else to make corrections, additions.
Thanks for checking -
