I am an avid history fan and Civil War Historian of sorts. I primarily do research for a book i'm currently writing that will pay tribute to men who fought on both sides. If you would like to contact me about the Civil War please feel free to do so. Thank you very much to anyone who leaves flowers on my family members pages. Have a wonderful day.***As a note, when doing research I leave flowers. If I have left a flower for your loved one its out of respect because I looked at their memorial. I usually don't have additional information.|

Hello Ann I am Mark R Cole ND I have a direct link a ancestor William Henry Thomas who was in capt. Wrights 8th VA Hvy Artillery and is buried in this family cemetary. I have searched the area that is listed here and am unable to locate the cemetary. If you can help in any way I would appreciate it so much. Sincerely Mark R Cole

Hello Anne, I was at Hopewell Church in Blount Co. AL on Summit. Saw your flower you placed on their memorials from this cemetery. Wanted to let you know in case you were related, that this couple is located at the Hopewell in Cullman Co. and not Blount. It becomes very confusing when there are several cemeteries with the same name in the same area. There are at least 3 Hopewell in Blount Co. alone.

Hi Anne, I noticed you have 5 request at Confederate Rest Cemetery, Point Clear, Baldwin County Alabama. They are Brookshine, Bune, Calhoun, Cosper and Fordham. I also read in your bio this info is used as research for a nook. Your requests were made Nov 2016. Are you still interested in receiving this information? If so, I will claim them and see what I can find. Joan

Hey Anne. Thanks for the greeting. Happy New Year!
|Lois Clare||Searching for Peter Durant Civil War|
Anne, You have an extensive list of Civil War cemeteries. I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm searching for the gravesite of family member Peter Durant, 137th Mass Vol Regiment Company C, died of disease on Apr 11, 1863. The US Registry of Deaths (http://www.ancestry.com/sharing/9389360?h=c9e42d&utm_campaign=bandido-webparts&utm_source=post-share-modal&utm_medium=copy-url) shows he may have died in a hospital in New Orleans? I was told a bible page says he was buried in DC. Could use some help. Thanks much!
I searched the Wadsworth cemetery and could not locate your Mary Baker 1848 - 1888 but there is a Mary E Holt 1848 - 1888. The marker is hard to read but I have photos I can post if this is the person you are looking for.

|Red Rose||Joseph W. Thomas|
Hi Anne, I am a descendant of Joseph W. Thomas and Mary Jane Coleman. The Thomas Family Cemetery where they are interred is not in Barbourville. It is located on what is now the land of a lumber company in the Hog Creek area north of the Rockfish River. I am a bit confused because I do not recognize any of the other Thomas folks that are in the Barbourville Thomas cemetery. My family were closer to Mount Alto and Howardsville. I am unsure of how to make the correction and could use some guidance. I know for sure that they were not connected with the Barbourville Thomas family. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rose

|Pat Marshall||Jeremiah Baugher|
You asked for a photo of Jeremiah Baugher (my 2nd great grandfather) buried at the Smith Cemetery at Nortonsville, VA. I posted it! Did you visit the cemetery? I believe it is in a wooded grove on what used to be the Smithland Farm. I know that my great grandfather James Luther Marshall is buried there. James Luther was the spouse of Margaret F. Baugher, daughter of Jeremiah. After JLM's death Margaret married James Hensley in Free Union. Jeremiah lived with them before his death and I believe she returned his body to Nortonsville and buried him with her first husband JLM.
