I got involved in tracing family history in the mid 1980's and I've been doing genealogy, off and on, ever since. When I saw my great grandmother's photo on this web site I decided to register and make what ever contributions I could.|

Do you know how to add photos so that they appear upright? If I take add a "portrait" orientation rather than landscape, it appears sideways. Even if I rotate the photo and resave it, it stills shows up sideways. I looked online but can find no info.

Hi, Jack. Thanks for that recommendation. I thought that might be the case. I don't know the Blooming Grove story. Isn't that a place with an alternative religious colony? The other names don't seem to be part of my family history. I am interested in any history on the area, so if you have anything to send or links to share, I'd appreciate them.
And thanks in advance for checking out Eldred.
I really want to figure out what part of Germany Wursters came from and whether they did come with others.

Jack, you are great! Thank you so much. I figured Blooming Grove was probably wrong. As for Magdalena, I am really glad you found this. I am sure I have looked for her before, but for some strange reason did not find her.
One last question--are the tombstones still legible? If so, when you have time, could you take a pic? I am also wondering if it would be worth my while to drive out there (I am in Michigan). Are there more records that aren't online? I am especially interested in when/how the Wursters came over. And whether Wursters and Kurtzes come from same area of Germany and might have known each other before coming over.

Hi. I am trying to locate information on Johann George (Georg) Wurster, his wife, and his daughter Magdalena Wurster Kurtz. There are 2 entries for him on Find-a-Grave, one at Anthony Cemetery in Williamsport, PA (Find A Grave Memorial# 27600534), and one at Blooming Grove Cemetery in Cogan Station (Find A Grave Memorial# 68033985). I can't imagine that he is buried at both, though perhaps he has 2 headstones, one at each. Do you have any information? Would you be able to take pictures. His wife is presumably Barbara Dolker (Delker). Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'm so sorry about how long it as taken me to respond to your very generous request of taking a pic of Samuel Southard tombstone @ Quaker Hill Cemetery. This information was helpful in climbing me family tree. Thank you very much. Have a blessed Thanksgiving :)

Jack, totally missed this reply! Yes, if you could send the photo(s) IF you still have them to email@example.com, that would be great!
Thanks for all your work and your time spent on getting this information sent to me of Mathius Ault's headstone. Thanks again and many blessings. Carol Johnson

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph her headstone and doing it so quickly too. You did a beautiful job.

Dear Jack, Thank you for getting these two photos for me so fast. I have also put in a photo request for Catherine Meyers/Myers Stryker and her husband. Hopefully they are in your area. Sincerely, Ruth
