For as long as I can remember my family has routinely visited our local cemetery. Young and old attend to the graves of our ancestors and reflect on those various individuals that have touched our lives. It seems to be a way for the adults to keep those departed individuals fresh in their memories and serves as an opportunity to pass on family history to younger family members. In our case, the cemetery is a very park like setting, located on a lake shore, and is a very pleasant place to visit. |
Over the years I have found that cemeteries are an excellent place to take break as I travel. It's a chance to get out of the vehicle for a while, take a walk in a quiet setting, and to learn a little about the local area. Now, as I make these stops, I try to take random photos of headstones that provide a cross-section of those who are laid to rest there.
It is my hope that the photos and information posted to Find-A-Grave will be of interest to individuals who are working to document local or family histories. Please feel free to contact me if you spot any errors in my postings or if you have photos or information you would like me to add.
Please Note: I have not been active for some time and I only check this site on occasion. Please be patient when I am slow to reply to you requests.

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to transfer this Memorial for Leslie Howard Pennington to me. He is a cousin to my dad and I would like to add quite a bit of info on his memorial without bothering you. I have lots of family in the Arkansas Valley and I am trying to get all info that I can add on to their memorial sites. My find a grave # is 48435834. I would appreciate it very much

|Bulldog||Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery does not exist|
At least for Seymour, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.
There were 4 interments shown on findagrave.com. Two have been removed because I alerted the people to this mistake.
Victor Brocker and Kermit Jordan are actually buried in a Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, but it's in Oneida, Brown County, Wisconsin.
Joseph MOCK is buried in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton and that requester is aware of this.
Your Victor IRISH and now deceased Ardys Loretta IRISH are resting up the hill at the intersection of French and Cemetery roads in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour, Outagamie County, Wisconsin.
Can you please make this change?

Will send an email to your listed Hotmail account too.
Was looking for a Request but could not locate a Zion Lutheran Cemetery out of Seymour, Outagamie County, WI. That's because it doesn't exist, at least not where the findagrave.com Map shows it should be along Black Creek, east of French Rd., south of County G, and north of Highway 54.
Do you recall what cemetery you were at when you photographed the headstone for John C. and Ardys IRISH? Memorial# 13403777
There is a Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Oneida, Brown County, and another near Greenleaf. But I did not locate Victor in the closest, Oneida.

|Geneva McCown Garrett||Velma Bales|
John. Velma Bales parents were C.C. Ellis and Sally Cavender. The death Cert. looks like it should be E.E.Ellis and Sally Lavender. I follow this family and it just looks this way. Her no. is 13508945.
Thank you, Geneva Garrett, firstname.lastname@example.org
