Bio Photo The living come with grassy tread
To read the gravestones on the hill;
The graveyard draws the living still,
But never anymore the dead.
The verses in it say and say:
"The ones who living come today
To read the stones and go away
Tomorrow dead will come to stay."
So sure of death the marbles rhyme,
Yet can't help marking all the time
How no one dead will seem to come.
What is it men are shrinking from?
It would be easy to be clever
And tell the stones: Men hate to die
And have stopped dying now forever.
I think they would believe the lie.

Dorothy Vick
Morris-Vick Cementary
Thanks for all you have done in helping me to locate family. Although I see several of the family names buried here I do not see the names of other Vick family members. Exum Vick and Roberta Parker Vick are buried here with stones but they are not listed. Also, I have a question concerning the name (Morris-Vick), the cementary is located on the Vick family farm and has always been referred to as the "Vick Family Cementary".
I would like to get other family members who are buried here added and ask if there are more pictures of the cementary. Exum and Roberta Vick are my husband's grandparents.

Thank you for transferring "Cousin" Daisy to me. She was a special lady when I was growing up and staying with my grandparents during school vacations.

Margaret Lee Cooke Terry
Back in December 2015 I messaged you regarding my confusion over two NC Cemeteries. Pleasant Grove in Hertford and Aulander in Bertie County. Pleasant Grove has 14 Terry's their pages added Feb. 3 2011,and some of the same Terry's are also listed in Aulander, Very confusing!!! Well, I found Margaret Cooke Terry's husband William Nathan Terry in Pleasant Grove listed just as William Terry. Birth and death dates are exact. I just remained puzzled about the 2 cemeteries.

Margaret Lee Cooke Terry
I am trying to find & connect Margaret with her husband William Nathan Terry. I found a Find A Grave record for him that confirms burial in Aulander Cemetery,BUT when I go to view the website there is an error message that say it doesn't exist or it is an old link.
I feel like you may possibly have created a page for him since you created Margaret's. Can you help?

Bryan(t) and White cemetery
You've done a great job! After years of searching I found this cemetery and the grave of Ozella Minton. A friend had told me that it was a Sumner cemetery and that years ago he had seen quite a few sunken spots that he thought were graves. I initially discounted it as a Bryan cemetery, thinking that it may or may not have one or more of my Sumner ancestors there. My friend said that there was only one or two marked graves but they were not Sumners. Doing a little deed research I realized that it was my wife's Bryan ancestors and eventually visited it. It's pretty much grown up.
I would like to correct a mistake that I found in your info about it. Perla Mae Bryan was the daughter of Cornelius Washington and Ozella Minton Bryan NOT the daughter of Blake Bryan. She was my wife's grandmother.

Thank you
