RE: Israel Filley 1819- Harlan Cemetery
It appears that the grave marker is incorrect, or this is a son of Israel D Filley.

Israel D Filley b. 01 Jun 1814, Suffolk Co., NY, and died 16 Oct 1852.

In Marion, Ohio, on 15 Jan 1836, Israel D Filley married Permelia Hall b. 1817, d. 05 Sep 1867. Permelia is also buried in this cemetery.

Find A Grave Memorial# 83706665 Cadesman Jones
While I agree that Georgia, Deaths Index, 1914-1927 reports a DOB in 1869, the newspaper report attached to the memorial and all of the census records support an 1859 birth. Cadesman appears in the 1860 US Census:

Name: Cadesman Jones
Age: 7 Months
Birth Year: abt 1859
Gender: Male
Birth Place: Georgia
Home in 1860: Pike, Georgia
Post Office: Zebulon
Family Number: 363

Year: 1860; Census Place: Pike, Georgia; Roll: M653_134; Page: 55; Family History Library Film: 803134

1900 US Census:

Name: Cadesman P. Jones
Age: 40
Birth Date: Oct 1859
Birthplace: Georgia
Home in 1900: Zebulon, Pike, Georgia
House Number: 1
Sheet Number: 12B
Number of Dwelling in Order of Visitation: 227
Family Number: 240

Year: 1900; Census Place: Zebulon, Pike, Georgia; Roll: 216; Page: 12B; Enumeration District: 0085; FHL microfilm: 1240216

RE: Everett family
Actually the two additions I recommended already have there own page.

I do have a question. I had to create a new logon because my previous email service no longer exist so I can't change the password. This logon was randallpickens@eartlink.net

The problem is, I cant edit my old profile because I cant get an email message to change the password. This means I can't manage old pages i created.

What to do????

thanks Randall

RE: Jewell Delita Danforth Harper edit
I made a copy of all info at her site. Then deleted the only thing that I could delete.
Did I do this correctly? Please let me know if there is something else that I need to do.

Hi!

Thank you for all the work you have done in this cemetery and others! I have deep roots in this area of GA and your work has greatly helped add to my family tree.

I wanted to let you know that I've completed a bio for William C Sanders, at least for now, and thought you might want to take a look. Many of the pallbearers & escorts mentioned in the obit have been linked back to some of your memorials. William's memorial # is 54912768. His wife, Rebecca Hulsey, is my cousin.

Best regards,
Debbie Hulsey Zouras

I thought you might be interested in why you're getting this rush of corrections. I've been an occasional photo volunteer at Westview, and I've been frustrated by Section 8. The staff doesn't seem to understand it at all, and many of the stones are difficult to see because leaves collect in them. The records don't seem to record well whether there is a marker or not. I decided to do a 100% photo shoot (except for two sections of babies and young children.) It turns out many of these memorials are yours from death certificates. Section 8 is an "individual grave" section, so no one is buried with family. Many of them are marked. There seem to be a lot of discrepancies between the death certificates and the markers. I assume that the staff doing the death certificates were somewhat careless, though I also wonder if, since many don't seem to have family, whoever ordered the marker didn't have good facts.

RE: Charles F Harrison Westview Cemetery
Although I tend to consider the gravestone as the primary source, I agree that it would be difficult for the obit to be published the day before he died. June 30 is probably the best date.
