~ I like to photograph grave markers so that a historical record is forever captured of those who were here before us. If you keep your family tree online, feel free to use any photo I've taken to enhance your tree. All I ask is that you make a note indicating the photo was found on FindaGrave. That way others who may not be familiar with this website will be introduced.

Taphophilia: an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.

Many Anthropologists believe that everyone is a 40th cousin and that any two people can find a common ancestor who has lived since 800 a.d.

RE: #43009746

I checked by records and did not find Flora listed in Maple Grove Cemetery and I guess I assumed she was buried next to her husband Frank since there was an empty spot next to him which was wrong on my part.

Since I had transferred the memorial I have written to her and advised her to delete the memorial. So please do not have them merged. You memorial is correct.

I am so sorry for the confusion.

Best Regards,

Hello, someone just pointed out to me that some things are not correct for my mother on Find a grave added by you. Memorial#148549879, I do not know why I did not see it before, I think we wrote to the other in the past.

The fault may be my own, but I would like to have this corrected either way, please?
It would be easier to explain if I could snip and paste here but I cannot. So my mother was born Rosealie Harrison and her first marriage was to a man named John Joseph Dombek. They bore one daughter named Rosealie Dombek.

So what is INCORRECT:"Birth Name Rosealie Dombek..........Daughter of John Joseph Dombek and Rosealie Harrison Dombek."

Those 3 lines would be correct for my half sister Rosealie Dombek and not my mother. Memorial 148549981

please advise

Thank you so much for the marker pictures. I didn't know Bernadine was buried next to Dale, or I would have requested her marker picture. Family told me she was cremated, either her ashes are buried, or that is a cenotaph. Thank you again for getting her marker too!
