Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Thanks so much, I'll take good care of it.
|Cheryl Ayres||Tom Tower|
I will send a sac with the evidence you need, 3 censuses prove he was married 3 times, I have the marriage records for his 1st Hannah Maria "Maria" Livingston & 3rd to Rosalia McAuley, the censuses & marriage records of one of his daughters stating parentage as proof of a marriage to Ann Lester. I totally understand why you question the marriage & I am only glad to give the sources as evidence but it is way to long to put on this message board.

Is Tennie White a relative of yours? If so, I will gladly transfer my memorial for her to you. I really don't want to lose the picture of Tennie.

Regarding the Huffar [??] relationship to Harriet Claybrook.
Louisa Belle Huffar is the sister, not the parent of Harriet Claybrook. They are both children of William M. and Nancy Hannah Bates.
Also buried at Bear Creek is a
brother Jesse Thomas Bates [my great grandfather] and another sister Lydia Frye.
Again I thank you for your photos of my relatives Hannah and Mary Russell at the Dickson Cemetery. Really appreciate it.
