Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in Marion, Kansas and now live back in Lubbock, TX, after 9 years in Albuquerque. I work on our genealogy almost everyday. We are retired and have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. I have been working on genealogy for about 29 years. We travel often and am able to take many photos. I really enjoy this site and the ability to take photos for someone who lives far away. is a wonderful site and is helping many people fill in the blanks on their family trees. If anyone finds any information that needs editing, please email me and let me know, as I will be happy to make the corrections. I am researching the following names: Childs, Crandall, Malmstrom, Dickinson, Harrison, Roach, Postar, Zimring & Inkeles. Let us remember those who passed before us, in hopes that we will be remembered, too.

Waid Family
Thank you SO MUCH for finding Lucindia Waid for me. I have been looking for her for years. Only missing the location for 2 of her children now.

What I've seen both spellings were used and most eventually adopted Wade. I've determined the are probably not related to me. Janet Wade.

Isaac Baldwin # 20659930
For your information - I recently sent this request to another contributor:

"I am a volunteer at the Heritage Library in Hilton Head, SC which owns and maintains this cemetery. I see that you added a memorial for Isaac Baldwin (#101572696) on Dec 1 2012. Unfortunately, another contributor (Marsha P) had already entered a memorial for Isaac Baldwin 5 years earlier to Find-A-Grave. Memorial #20659930, added Jul 27 2007.

We would like to ask you to remove your memorial from the cemetery page since it is a duplicate entry. Also, the prior entry also contains additional information linking one of Isaac's daughters and contains the actual date of his death - Aug 1, 1826.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Bob Blot"

Marion Cem
Hi Marsha, I've made the transfer. I live in Herington but go to Marion frequently. Our and area cemeteries are well managed by a couple of volunteers. When I started working Marion, no one else seemed to be.

Here is the corrected article if you want to use it.
SEELEY Minnie Davis was born Aug. 25, 1874 near Milford, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. John Davis. In 1892 she was married to Walter Seeley. Mr. Seeley preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1958. She passed away at Hillsboro, Kans., Sept. 25, 1958.

She is survived by one daughter, two sons, 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.

RE: Marion Cemetery
I actually live in Wichita. I saw a need for pictures to be taken, so I started coming up to Marion about once a week to fill some of the requests. It kind of balloned from there. 😊 I have been through the cemetery at least twice and I still have a long list to locate. The old locations don't help if you don't have an old map. I will go through the cemetery one more time and then move on to another one.
