My main focus here is on connecting the dots between my ancestors and my wife's ancestors. Lately, I've been focusing on my wife's great-great-great grandparents, John and Elizabeth Bitterling of Monterey, IN. They had three children: Clara, Ida and Charles. John adopted the three. My wife is a descendent of Charles. Clara, Charles' older sister, had three children before an untimely death at age 40. I've been working on establishing links between Clara and her three children: Lydia, Oliver and George.
