Bio and Links
Bio Photo My ONLY intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever and if that helps YOU find your family, super!

My paternal gggrandfathers were Alexander Allen (m. Nancy Adeline Branson) AND William Irvin Brewer.
My maternal gggrandfathers were Albert Lafayette Rogers buried in King Cemetery, Franklin Co, Arkansas and John Henry McGee.

Thanks to Teena Cantrell for helping me find my great-great-great grandparents John Pitcher and Polly Allen. And Thanks to Alvin Derby and Betty Taylor Thompson for helping me find Camp Meeting Cemetery where they are buried! What a treasure you are!!! All information about Camp Meeting Cemetery is by John Albert Burnett in the 1920's.

Thanks so much to Linda Creamer Furr who passed away June 2012 and Linda from Arkansas for all the biographical information on my entries in Franklin County, Arkansas.

Remember me, as you pass by,
As you are so was I.
As I am you soon will be.
Prepare in Life for Eternity.

Oh Yeah, Meet you at the East Gate!!!

Hi Frances, my cousin James Parker and I were there at Coal Hill Cemetery Friday last week. Some workmen were cutting down the old Ceder trees and there were limbs all over the headstones of the Martins. We were not able to find James W. Martin and Nancy Jane Mayfield. I am so thankful that you knew where they were and their headstone looks wonderful. Would you be so kind as to e-mail me I would really like to know where this headstone is located in the Cemetery. We plan to return there when it is cooler. Many heartfelt Thanks.

RE: Deborah Alice Hill
Thanks for trying! I am pretty sure that her birth year is 1879, she was a brand new baby in the 1880 census. I am always concerned with making a mistake, though! Is there a way to note that "maybe the year is different. It's possibly 1879"

Deborah Alice Hill
The photo you posted of Deborah Alice Hill's #61792618 tombstone seems to have a lot of little writing on the bottom of the stone. I am wondering what it says and also if it is possible that the birth year reads 1879, not 1889. I have been searching for what has happened to Allice Hill d/o William H Hill and Martha A Daggett Hill. She is only found on the 1880 census. I assumed she grew up and married, but this is a clue to another fate.
I would be very grateful to you for checking this out for me. Thank You!

Waverly F. Ledbetter (1916-1995) (Find A Grave Memorial #33178387)
Just a friendly note: The Find A Grave Memorial birth year (1981) does not match the gravestone birth year (1916).

Mr. Ledbetter worked as a laborer and driver for the Sisters of Mercy in Fort Smith, and he was the custodian at Christ the King Catholic Grade School.
