|Bio and Links|
|In July and August 2008 I took photos of all headstones in Idlewilde Cemetery Blocks 1 through 12, and part of Block A. I've added names using cemetery records, and have added all my available photos for those blocks. I've included birth and death places along with family links. In May 2016 I took photos of Block B-M and the Mausoleum and am adding them as I get time. I am also going through old Hood River newspapers and adding obituaries to the memorials.|
I would be glad to add any links or bios, and am happy to transfer management of memorials to relatives.
I am also on the New Sweden Cemetery Maintenance District Board of Directors, and am trying to update entries for the New Sweden Cemetery.

|An Oregonian||William Ellis #46434078|
Hello, you entered a picture for William Ellis, Belle Passe Cemetery. My aunt, Virginia Zehner Chapman Miller, married a William Ellis I think in 1984. Can you tell me if this is the same person, William Ellis, that was married to my aunt. I would like to connect them together.

|Jeffrey J. Woita||Ernest F. Bryant Burial 1916|
Hello Jeff, I am Jeff Woita, the Weston, Nebraska history researcher. You sent me a CD of old photographs of the Capt. Davis family.
I was wondering if you knew which cemetery Ernest F. Bryant was buried in? Or was it a cremation with ashes scattered or sea burial? FindAGrave.com says "non-cemetery burial". Thanks in advance for any and all help concerning this matter.

Thank you very much for creating all Nickelsen -Memorials in Hood River.
The Nickelsens settled in Oregon and came from Oldsum, Island Föhr,North-Sea, Germany.
Thanks for all the bios and obituaries you added....it is so interesting for me to read something about their lifes.
My father wrote in a book " Von Oldsum nach Oregon" the Nickelsen- story.So I knew a lot!
I also found an obituary : Alberta Frohn Miller ( Mother Ida was a Nickelsen) and a story of William Donald Nickelsen ...I will send it now!
Best Greetings to You - Ingke

re: Do you know if your Robert A. Biggs served in Co. G, 58th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War?
I have yet to track down specific military information. All I know is that he was in fact a soldier.
