I've been researching my family since 1992 and have created several websites for various branches. I enjoy visiting area cemeteries and usually take some extra photos in the hope of helping others. |
If you're interested in who my ancestors are, you can look under my virtual cemetery for the link to "My Ancestors". These are my direct line ancestors only, but will give a good feel for the surnames I'm researching and why.
Please feel free to use my photos for your personal, non-commercial use. I appreciate being given credit.

|Stephanie Dickert||Thank you|
Thank you for finding and taking a picture of my great-grandparents and great-aunt's grave. Harold E. Hoyt, Maud Morton Hoyt and Almira L. Hoyt. It's nice to have that little piece since most of my immediate line on this side of the family is gone. I am curious if you are related to them at all. I'm still looking for information, especially about Maud Morton Hoyt. Thank you again.
|Roberta Bouche||RE: Wilton Dev Ctr Cemetery|
Thank you so much for making the changes to Frederick Swears' memorial. I had given up looking for him in 2013 or 2014. His niece, who is my 3rd cousin, will be so happy to have the mystery of his burial place resolved. While I doubt she will be coming back from N. Carolina, I might just take the detour myself this summer. Is it a safe place? I know how much work is involved in the searching for and taking photos of gravestones for ourselves and for others. I had to give it up.. bad knees and old age. Mosher, Murray and Swears are the family names on my mother's side.
Would it be possible to change his first name to Frederick?

After several years of searching for Frederick's burial place, I was pleased to find the memorial you set up in 2015. Thank you. Family had believed he was buried off the institution's premises. I understand the Wilton Dev Center has been sold. Do you have any idea what became of the cemetery????
Does it still exist, open to the public? I suggested edits to Frederick Swears memorial 152879521. Thank you.
|Sharon Brecke||Memorial # 54657936 - Phoebe Curtis Ovitt|
So very glad you posted the item extracted from Dunn County WI history. ...Which says Phoebe & Norman Ovitt had 9 children. I can only find 8. The 1900 Federal Census verifies the 9...for it lists "12 children born; 8 living." I am one child short. Question: Can you help me out with #9?
Those living in June 1 1900 Fed. Census would be the 3 Mars boys, Lovica, Elizabeth, Earl, Jennie, & Pearl. ...Horace died in 1881, Rosabell in 1884 & Baby Boy in 1886.
Unable to find another grave...
So would appreciate any info you can give me.
Thanks for all your help.
Keep up your great work.

Hi Michelle - Unfortunately the Fergusons are unmarked. The photo shows the actual crypt. I must have had a senior moment because I forgot to take a long shot of the corridor. I'll photograph a long shot after my next visit to the cemetery.

|June ||Skellie ancestors|
I too am researching and everything I am coming up with shows that my great, great grandfather, David Skellie (1814-1892) was also a child of John Skellie and Hannah Edgar. In fact, my records say they had 15 children. The info you have posted with the picture of the headstone is different. Where did you get your info? And is there a place you could suggest for me to further my Skellie research? Thanks for all of your hard work!!
