My favorite things to do are genealogy and scrapbooking. My mother, Lila Ashby Thacker, is currently working on the 7th thick album for 12 different family members with our ancestors' biographies to which I add a scrapbook page with photo for each. I also research our ancestors and add more dates and names. It's a long process but fun. My boyfriend and I had been looking a long time for his grandfather who had left his grandmother with 3 small kids and started another family. One day my boyfriend stumbled on FAG (findagrave.com) and found his long lost grandpa and his picture. It was like a reunion. We emailed the person who entered his info. She turned out to be a relative and we've communicated ever since and gotten close. |

Jesse Ervin Fleming: Find A Grave Memorial# 149552731

Thank you for your help with this.

Hello Rhonda. For your entry on David Sutton Cardon # 63547579, I have attached his picture. I noticed you had his cemetery as unknown. He is here in the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Utah. The plot # you have for him is correct.
This is my first cousin she was born/deceased on November 6,1961. I know this to be correct as I was born 2 years and 8 days after her just missing the 2nd anniversary of her death. I believe you may be related on my Endicott side of the family. If I am wrong I would love to have my cousins memorial turned over to me.
Hello, First thank you for all that you all that you do for Find A Grave! I know it's a very tough job and mistakes can be made. Especially when it concerns others work. This concerns the Cora Conley Stidham #39486585 memorial. I know that the information that is on her memorial page came from her granddaughter because it says so but unfortunately it's wrong. I have done the research. Cora Conley and Charles Stidham were living on Wilson Creek in Carter County KY when they eloped to Ashland, Boyd County, KY on 17 March 1903 to get married. They lived in Carter County until they moved to Scioto Co. OH. While at home Cora may have helped her mother with the children before she married Charles but Cora's mother didn't die until Nov. 9, 1905. Her father did remarry Nora Hickles on 25 April 1906. I dont have the contact information for Kathie Nelson or I would send her this information myself. I just believe that we should keep these memorials as accurate as possible. The information on their children seem to be accurate. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, especially since you were just passing the info along.
I sent you a message. Please check your email for Stoogette!

Hello How are you? I hope that you and your family are doing well this Christmas. So, a lot has changed sense we last time talked. As you can see my last name changed. I wanted to find out about myself and my background so I decided whats to hurt me. So, guess what? I took a DNA test and I was only doing what I only knew and I was doing my siblings family history and not my very own. I was shocked what I came a crossed I found 25 first cousins that I have never ever met and we were only withing miles apart! I found a person who I never would of thought looked like me but yet look and sound very much like myself. I found my dad. He was very accepting of me. I became a big brother once again. I have been a Kent for almost a whole year now. What's the chances of this huge Superman fan becoming a Kent lol Well, I just wanted to keep in touch with you Rhonda.
Have a blessed day,
I don't know if you are the person who requested a photo of Charles Woodward's headstone, but I have found some new information that may be of interest. Just North of where Charles and his wife are buried is a headstone for a Mrs. Evans Woodward. It says that she is the mother of Rose Evans Love, J.E. Evans, and Clyde C. Woodward.

I saw the very nice memorial that you did for Mary Ward Heap Savage on Find A Grave. In it you have a quote from Mary A. White Savage. I was wondering if you have any additional information from her. She's in my family tree. Specifically I was looking for information on John Bailey (her uncle) and Joanna Shields (his wife). I saw on Family Search there was information for them attributed to her. If you have anything you can share I would really appreciate it.
Thank you for your time!

This was my maternal uncle. Orvin was an orange grower for Sunkist and the owner of a filling station in California. During the gas shortage in '74, on the day of his death, his filling station had received fuel and there was a large line to get some. A man from the back of the line tried to cut up insisting that he be allowed to get his fuel now, Orvin told him that he would have to wait his turn. He went back to his car and returned with a gun and shot Orvin, killing him. I was 11 at the time and don't remember all the details and we didn't talk about it much over the years following but as far as I know the murderer was never caught. Orvin had at least 2 children, John and Pearl.
