Please use any photos I have taken for your personal use. I may have the originals; just ask. I will transfer any memorial to you, as long as they are not my family! I do not have a relationship with most of the memorials I create. |
Some family names in my ancestry I am actively researching: Briggs, Washburn, Farnham, McGregor, O'Brien, Bradaseric, Gratias, McDonald, Grant.
Remembering the victims of suicide:
*Isaac O'Brien (my youngest cousin)
*Dr. Christopher Kirkpatrick
Projects: Summer 2016
In possession of "The History of Wood County (1923)". Updating memorials and providing them with bios from the book!

|Shantell Ford||Marion Tobey|
Hi, I'm trying to find the Marion Tobey 1901 - 1995 supposed to be buried in the Alton Cemetery, but she does not appear to be here. I live nearby and have access to the burial records. I searched everything according to the burial records, from all the Marions, all the Tobeys, all the Whiteheads, everyone born in 1901, and everyone who died in 1995. She doesn't appear to be here. Is there anything else you know that could help at all?

Would you consider transferring this memorial to me? He is my great grand uncle.
|Topper 🎩||RE: Moses Now|
Oh, I wish I knew - I'm just as curious as you about his sibling marriages. I'm coming at this from the Remington side. One more addition: Moses married Nettie in 1891 and Carrie in 1903. I tried to enter the marriage date info, but Find A Grave wouldn't accept it. I was hoping that by entering the dates the order of the marriages would self-correct. I'll let you try, otherwise spouse 2 and 1 might have to be unlinked and relinked as spouse 1 and 2.

|Wright||Please consider transferring memorial|
Will you please transfer the memorial for Bert Wright? He is my great grandfather and I would like to correct his memorial and add the other 4 children he had with wife Leda Beedle. Thank you for the consideration.

|Wendy Cleveland Smith||RE: Andrew and Eliza Johnson|
You are so welcome! This one had me stumped at first. I found Eliza's stone. Was covered in moss, so I cleaned that off. I stood there wondering where Andrew was. Then I looked down at that huge bush and thought, "is he under there?" Sure enough. Did you see how nice and clean his stone was? That bush had protected it. I also found it interesting that the tall white slender marker next to the Johnson marker has been turned around over the years. When the photo was first published to Find A Grave, it was facing forward. The engraving is now facing to the right. It must have fallen over at one time. Whoever picked it up didn't bother to face the writing outwards. Kind of sad. Don't mind me...it was my first time in cemeteries taking photos in July. I can see how it gets addicting!
|Scott McPherson||RE: Jeanne Perkins obituary|
It is on Jeanne's Find a Grave memorial. Either I typed Facebook instead of Find a Grave, or the auto correct spelling feature assumed I was typing Facebook and I didn't correct the error. Anyway, it is posted in Jeanne Perkins Find a Grave memorial.
|Scott McPherson||Jeanne Perkins obituary|
I just wanted to let you know that I went by the local college library and pulled Jeanne Perkins' obituary and posted it on Facebook. I forgot that the college library has a limited set of Evening News microfilm on file, but it went back far enough to find Jeanne's. I hope that helps.
|Scott McPherson||RE: Perkins|
The Bayliss Public Library is generally where I go to find obituaries when I am in town. They have the local newspaper on microfilm. There website is http://www.baylisslibrary.org/ and you can send them a request through the "Contact Us" menu on the left side of the home page. They do charge a nominal fee, but the last time I used them it was reasonable. The library is only open Tuesday-Saturday, or I would go today or tomorrow to see if I could find it for you. Unfortunately, I will be leaving Tuesday morning. I will be back in the Sault in the middle of October, so if you still need some help, let me know.
